Lots of people have mentioned before (and probably after) that there are lots of issues with queue times and server loads. And while it is true, I don't give a singular fµck about that.

No, my gripe with the game is that it suffers from the same problem that Warframe has : it's a fµcking GRINDFEST in order to get any new stuff. Characters ? Gotta pray that you get those specific materials, or you're in for a week of farming. Weapons ? Same stuff, different packaging.

And all that to keep you playing for enough hours that you can't refund the game anymore when you get bored. Nah, I'm gonna dip out early.

This game does, in fact, Hustle.

You're satisfied when you win.
You learn new stuff when you lose.
You have a cool replay in both cases.

Basically the early 2000's stick fight animations, in one game.

I started becoming addicted to this game, and I'm not even half-way through. I never saw it coming.

Very neat game, has you using your brain juice quite a lot.

If you're prone to have brain lock while under pressure, wouldn't recommend for you. Otherwise, you should give it at least a try !

A pretty short experience, but the combat is fast and rhythmic, the options of playstyle are varied enough to have one for each kind of player, and there is enough hours to sink into in order to get all the pieces of lore and collectables.

All in all, a good game.

The OST is a banger, the gameplay is a banger, and the dialogues are always quirky in each character's and adversary's way.

There are some stuff here and there that needs polishing, like some buffs/debuffs that lack a properly tied text localization, even in english... but certainly not bad enough that is making the game unplayable.

10/10, will kill enemies with mommy issues again.

Who cares if the battle system is different than all other Yakuza games ? Not only does it provide the same beef to your moves and attacks, but it still has the Yakuza charm.

I mean, you can summon a Chicken to help you both in battle and in your company management ! Come on !

Alright, I'll start this off the right way : do not pay attention to the 87% positive reviews in this game. Not only are most of them trolls that make jokes in their reviews or are total fanboys, but they all glance over several bits of the game.

Don't get me wrong, this game has done many things right. The use of consummable healing items for when you are out of Estus (which you start with only 1 charge, and not even from the get go by the way), the fact that you can warp from and to any activated bonfire from the start (unlike in Dark Souls 1), some interesting enemy mechanics such as a boss that can summon a player in the middle of the boss fight and turning the fight into a 2 v 1, backstabs and ripostes looking more brutal than in other games of the franchise, amongst other things.

But on top of those good things, there's an enormous pile of bad things that taint it. Broken enemy hitboxes, almost void attack hitbox for you, each death reducing your maximum health ever so slowly unless you use an item (or under certain circumstances), a lot of bosses being difficult only because they have too much defense and too much damage outputs, the durability of all your equipment going down way too fast (along with corrisive areas and enemies), upgraded versions of each rings having MORE weight and LESS durability than their normal counterparts (we're talking 0.2 weight and 150 durability for a health ring +0 and 1.5 weight and 25 durability for its +3 version), poise being too much counter-balanced between you and the enemies (a naked enemy will have less flinches than a player in havel's armour), a lot of bosses being reused as enemies later on or even as OTHER BOSSES (record being 4 uses of one boss in a single game), fall damage being made so poorly you have glass ankles, and the least of all : INVULNERABILITY FRAMES DURING DODGE ROLLS ARE TIED TO A STATISTIC CALLED AGILITY. I WISH I WAS KIDDING.

And sadly, the list goes on.

TL;DR : This game is so bad I've turned hollow IRL.

This is pokemon, except they listened to the TF2 community and removed random crits. And replaced PP with Stamina. And made status effects conditional and not randomly triggered. And made you learn surf first instead of cut.

Take that review as you will, but it's a thumbs up from me.
