I see a lot of people reviewing the game, but I see a lot of issues, so this might be my actual real review.

**IMPORTANT:** Master Duel is modern Yu-Gi-Oh OCG Format. If you don't like that, then don't play it. These "super overpowered meta-decks" that are in Master Duel are going to exist in every current Format of YGO, barring a few exceptions. If you dislike this, then YGO genuinely isn't for you. Rarely will a deck actually be unbeatable, and if you run into one that is, you're honestly just not a good deckbuilder.

Ups:
- It's a pretty game. Visually probably the best experience you can play for YGO.
- Despite being a "gacha," it's SUPER easy to obtain gems.
- Probably the best official experience to play online.
- Super-Important Staple Cards, like Forbidden Droplets, or Nibiru, are *extra* easy to get.

Neutral:
- OCG Format (sorta). To people who do not know what this means, there are many different formats to Yu-Gi-Oh, the most common one played being the TCG. The difference is in the banlists and when cards released. Research more if you're curious.
- Not all cards will be in Master Duel, and Master Duel has its own Banlist. This makes it unique from OCG and TCG.

Downs:
- Slow players. This issue disappears usually in Diamond and above, but a lot of players are slow. Personally, I don't really care, but a lot of people that I have watched who are new absolutely HATE this.
- Bots in ranked. This issue leaves in Gold and above, but there are so, so many bots.
- Once you get every gem through solo, it's extremely difficult to receive more (until an event happens, which is somewhat frequent so it's not as bad as you think.)
- UR, and to a lesser extent, SR cards are a NIGHTMARE to obtain. Fix the crafting system, please?
- Games take forever sometimes because of lag.
- Solo mode sucks. Mind numbing. I only completed it for gems.

Overall, despite more Downs than Ups, it really is Modern Yu-Gi-Oh. It's the best official way to play Yu-Gi-Oh online. The issue purely lies in if you enjoy it or not.
