That is a direct quote from the description of this game, and it is both true and false. The Journey can change, but the destination is pretty much the same no matter what you choose. You will not change the world and despite the illusion of agency, there is no real power put in your hands. No matter what there will be a revolt and change of regime, you only can change how involved you are in it and if certain people die.

That being said, this is an absolutely amazing and beautiful game. The story is rich and draws you in, you become invested in your choices and the characters in the game. The atmosphere is perfect, the skillful combination of both the scenery and the music will make you feel the game as though you were there. I love the art style and voice acting too, every line that I heard in the game made sense and was said with the correct emotional inflections, making the people in the game seem very lifelike.

I would love to see another game like this from the developers where you actually can change things fully with multiple endings and such. There are different endings in this, however if you look at the big picture they are all pretty much the same. However for the price this game is an amazing journey that is worth your time and effort to experience, even if you do not politically agree with the underlying partisan influence.
