Nice little experience, has good brush physics. Features are a bit basic overall -- it could be great with some enhancements, like more in-depth educational/learning aspect, brushstroke sounds + animations, more music. Maybe your brush running dry and having to dip it back in the ink for immersion. Or maybe ability to import images so you can have reference in free mode. But those are just ideas if this game were to be expanded upon. It is nice for what it is, a simple but solid tool to do some relaxing VR calligraphy. Something I would buy add-on content for if it were to be made.

It's almost good, but the controls aren't tight enough for me, making driving feel cumbersome.

More of a 'mixed' review. Very appealing concept, but first impressions lean negative due to some voices sounding suspiciously AI. From there, I felt that the character designs were a bit cliche (side-shaved/blue hair, just personally fatigued with in current media/gaming landscape). Combat could feel better, though isn't bad per se. No sign in-game of how multiplayer will work. I think the AI-sounding voices were my main issue. These are just my personal preferences, and not everyone will feel the same as I do about things, but that is of course what makes my review my own.

Sadly, the paddles move too slowly, makes it not as fun. It's a shame since this game seems really cool otherwise.

I find that it takes an overly long time to knock down opponents, they seem to absorb punches.

I also accidentally punched my bookcase, but that one's on me.

Early Access Review
I got this as a thing to kind of just zone out and drive to, and it mostly works for that, but there's one annoying thing: the trees and cars pop in on the horizon, which takes you out of the immersion. So, this is only a mild recommend...

Got a little too hard around the accordions (had two hearts setting), and minigame of course wasn't compelling enough to get through the difficulty, enjoyed the style and humor though.

This was like a nice little tutorial. I was moreso interested in the whole political/propaganda aspect, but the prologue didn't have any of that, just broadcasting lessons. But it shows potential so I'll buy the full game.

I wanted to like it. The thing is, it's not a rhythm game, it's kind of the opposite. You avoid being in rhythm.

It's not like there's a rhythm to avoiding the notes, either. You're just... playing around the music rather than with it. This feels weird, like the enemies are playing a music game and I'm not. The store page says to groove to the music, but it's pretty hard to groove to music you're purposely trying to stay out of sync with.

But you're not me, so maybe you'll love it. I'm just saying that if you do, it won't be for rhythm gameplay. Maybe you'll even think it is, since it looks like Guitar Hero and everything, but no.

This thumbs down feels bad. It's perfectly fine as a little 5-min book for very young children, reminds me of those Nick Jr. shorts I grew up with, and I don't mind supporting this dev because they make great stuff. But I think the $8 price and the dramatically-worded description raised my expectations for it to have more to it, either through the story or more living book interactivity.
