I normally don't do reviews but since the devs (a great small indie team) asked people who enjoyed the game to show their support and review the game then I'll gladly make one.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is like a candy store for the little history buff in me. I was waiting such a kind of game for ages and it's finally here.

Glitches and bugs aside, typical of every early release of such big open-world games (polishing and bug-fixing is constant and for every patch hundreds of them are fixed), I don't think there's any major flaw I could find.
The story is great, the environment is beautiful the attention to all the historical details from the configuration of defensive elements in the castle fortifications to the details in weaponry and armors to the reconstruction of that in-game corner of Bohemia vs its irl counterpart is maniacal.

Very noteworthy is also what I consider another very strong point; namely how this small team puts historical plausibility before anything else and doesn't make any compromise to appeal to certain very noisy and unpleasant fringes of (game) journalism that would want to see ahistorical elements into the game in the false name of "progress" or "inclusiveness" or "diversity" or whatnot. Because of this the team and the game received a lot of unfair and unbased "criticism" that resembled much more a pointless hate campaign than real criticism and many were the boycott campaigns against the title. Needless to say all this quite pathetic and pointless stomping of feet only made the game even more popular and succesful.

Devs published a roadmap with plenty of DLCs in which, among the other additional stuff, as free DLCs, figure all the promises they made to the players during the prerelease phase such as hardcore mode (coming soon in these very next days) and tournaments.
I honestly can't wait for such DLCs as they'll vastly increase and extend the gaming experience.

What else to say, I'm so glad teams like Warhorse exist and that they deliver to us history fans such great content. I'll gladly spend my money to support these guys and all their future projects and I also hope that with their example they'll act as a sort of pioneers for other houses to adventure in this genre of historical RPGs and strictly history based games which see a beautiful union between entertainment and learning (another important mention to the magnific and detailed Codex present in-game that delivers very interesting insights into Medieval history and its society).

I totally want to see more from Dan Vávra and the Warhorse Studios gang and I wish them luck for all their future projects which I'll be sure to follow closely from now on!

Stay Medieval guys!
