Changing my review because Sony has listened to fans and made PSN sign in optional, as it should be for a PC title.

And excellent game and a great co-op experience! Perfect for a quick match to just launch and play to unwind. The visuals and sound design are absolutely phenomenal and perfectly capture the 40k world. Highly recommended!

Early Access Review
Stupid patcher takes half an hour to update 200MB because it needs to somehow unpack and overwrite 25GB to do it for even the smallest updates.

Very relaxing and fun game, especially just chilling out with mates while you explore together. Huge amount of content and a real turnaround from their shaky launch.

Lots of deep systems and an amazing sandbox to build your own stories of intrigue in a package that streamlines a lot of the needless complexity of CK2. You'll wonder where the time went!

20 mins to install a 5MB update, the patcher is just garbage.

One of the best Total War games they've released yet! Campaign play has taken massive strides forward! Definitely recommend this to any fan of Total War! A must for any fan of Romance of the Three Kingdoms!

Like many kickstarted games, this title had a rough launch. The devs have since patched out most of the most egregious bugs and are continuing to put in loads of effort to polish the game up. Rough launch aside, this game is a real gem. I GM Pathfinder tabletop, and this is about as close to a perfect implementation of the system in a videogame as I could have hoped for.

It plays best on the core rules difficulty. Difficulty settings in this game are a little disappointing as all they do is grant broken stat buffs to enemies. I've never liked difficulty that had no effect on AI and just grants stat bonuses. Thankfully, the core rules, just like the tabletop, are pretty well balanced and give you a good experience.

The character creation is the absolute highlight of the game. You're given so many options that it becomes addictive to try out new builds. The kingdom building is also pretty fun. If you like crpgs that give you a castle or HQ to manage and upgrade, this is even better and on a grander scale.

Choices seem to affect the world quite satisfactorily and I've so far tried LE, LG, and N playthroughs. Some of the unique options each alignment gives you are quite different approaches and make the game feel fresh a second time through.

If you were hesitant due to early reviews about bugs, I'd say now is the right time to jump on board. I couldn't be happier with the result of backing this game!

Gets boring very quickly. The quirky dialogue is funny at times but it just can't balance out how dull the monotonous grind of landing on planets to drive around and pick up resources is. Combat isn't exactly thrilling either. The game also frequently crashed which is lucky for me as it makes a good enough reason to seek a refund. Lesson learned, watch more gameplay videos and don't just impulse buy after watching the Steam Store trailers.
