Helldivers, we got em. We dive together or we don't dive at all. Thank you, Arrow Head for making an awesome game and thank you to Sony for listening to the community.

Very fun my first playthrough. The ending can be really heavy and that's honestly stopping me from starting a second game, but other than that it was a really good story.

Bought it for the gimmick, but I stayed for the fantastic soundtrack and storytelling that really makes you care about the characters. When I first met Derek, I was like ughh, he's so annoying, but eventually he started to grow on me(no ♥♥♥♥ lol).

While the story can feel forced at points and feel robotic in its dialogue, it introduces characters with motivations, tensions, and other personal quirks that make them feel unique. Also everything that happens in gender studies is hilarious. Not for those easily offended.

Fun game but frustrating at times. Ranged combat is dumb and frustrating. You would think enemy ranged units cant shoot past a wall, but they can, and they can kill all your archers before they have to break down your wall. This makes no sense from a gameplay perspective. What the ♥♥♥♥ else is a wall for except holding them off a few seconds after your army is dead from ranged damage. Also, UI is horrible. Barebones. You cant see how many units you have selected, you are just left to wonder(or count). Also, you can't set your workers to leave certain resources alone, like pumpkins. If they run out of wood or gold resources to gather, or they are harvesting a seperate food resource, they will pick the pumpkins when I want them left alone. There are no quickselect controls for constructing structures or units, you have to manually click on them evey time you want to set one down(doing this when mass producing banks is tedious and a sin against good gameplay mechanics).

I love this game, it is very fun and fundementally, it feels like a solid RTS game with beautiful graphics, fun systems, and insane attention to detail. The law book could use some more content, they start to feel irrelevent late game(and at some points early-mid game when theres nothing you need). Tech tree is full and has lots of useful upgrades, but it doesnt really go outside of the box all that much.

My biggest gripe is the shortness of the story. Devs have promised post release content, so I'm looking forward to not just a few more scenarios, but hopefully(with help from the mod community if we can get mod support) dozens of new law books, tech upgrades, random event popups, buildings, and maybe a more in depth social class system that confers unique buffs and debuffs to individuals in addition to class warfare mechanics and other social mechanics. My point is, this game seems like it was meant to be a sandbox with endless possibilities, and I'm hoping it lives up to its fullest potential, because I, for one, am hooked.

Very fun game, but Patch 1.4 is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, its like the devs didnt do any internal testing. The game is unplayable in its current state. I get conversation bugs that require a restart, loading screen bugs that require a restart, fps drops that render the game very unenjoyable(mind you I have a high end machine). Should be an early access.

I haven't gotten super far but I already know that I love this game and am going to put a lot of time into it.

The graphics are very good, nothing groundbreaking but the game certain is visually pleasing to look at. The scenery is beautiful and you can tell that the team meticulously put a lot of time into detail. I remember being in Goliat and seeing some ballistas next to an overlook that Im pretty sure are just there for artistic effect, but it looks like an actual defense point, with large bolts mounted next to the ballistas. I was pleased with all the detail in Goliat and look forward to finding more cities and exploring their beauty.

Now the gameplay isn't as great. It feels very slow and at some times clunky. I often find myself encountering mobs that 1 hit me on normal difficulty when Im going to do the starter quests from Goliat. Frustrating, but something thatwill air out as I gain levels and better equipment I'm sure.

Finding things is kind of hard, especially in a city as large as Goliat. There are no signs that point you to where a certain vendor might be(to my knowledge), and you can easily get lost looking for these people in the city. Finding quests is also a bit difficult, as the game doesn't seem to have any desire pointing you in the direction of anything that isn't a major quest line. There isn't really any UI tips for a person who might have a side quest for you so you have to find these things on your own.

The story is good, your actions have real consequences and feel important.

Kind of a sidenote but the voice acting for the main character feels a bit flat thus far. He has a low grizzly voice but it comes across as lacking presence or involvement in what was going on. It was for the most part the same monotone level throughout, and was quite frustrating at times.

Came back for the first time after launch to see how the game had changed, I spawned on a toxic planet too far to reach my ship, no thamium9 deposits to replenish my life support, kept dying without being able to reach my ship, you had one chance to win me back and you blew it spawning me on a planet I literally couldn't leave.
