An hour and half episode of ENA. And still only about a fourth of the game, from what it indicates.

This should be one of those games that is automatically applied to Steam accounts like a pre-loaded console game.

The quality and attention to detail in this game is insane. There's a huge amount of content here, and it sucks you in.

We're so back. I was worried, because early access looked rough, and IGN was strangely harsh on it, reviewing the early access as if it were a full release. But now that we're at full release, I'm so relieved to see how much polish and attention that has gone into the game.

It's not without its faults. There are unfinished UI bits were things are just weirdly obtuse or blank. No more market graph either, which makes the market feel very non participatory.

But the rest is great, and I'm looking forward to figuring out more of its new systems.

This game is peak, and everything people hoped for when playing One Step From Eden, or even the Mega Man Battle Net games. It's honestly tragic that it hasn't blown up in player count, especially when the bar to entry is so low with that price.

Nobody seems to be talking about the actual gameplay, so neither will I... Performance seems to be the main topic so: it's good. The kind of people that complain they're "only" getting 150 fps in Counter Strike are the same complaining they're only getting 60fps in Skylines. The game runs fine. The devs have put plenty of communication out there that the target is 30fps. If that offends you somehow, this game might not be for you. But as a top-down game, it's more than serviceable. If you want higher, the game supports Geforce Now. But a large "problem" is that users are ignoring the system requirements for this game. You can't do that here. The reason the trailer looks so impressive is because it's pushing the hardware. You need the hardware they recommend, or else it's just not going to run as expected.

Doesn't startup on a 12th i7, 3060 Ti. So there's that feature, I suppose.

Early Access Review
The RPG that anyone who's ever enjoyed an RPG will love. At its current early access stage, it feels extremely polished. And with how much branching scenarios have, I have no worry about having to replay act 1 when the full release hits (yes, an early access with an actual release date) given how differently it'll play out, even if I choose the same decisions because of the 5e roll tables.

Early Access Review
This game took me by surprise. It sat on my wishlist for nearly two years because I thought "Well, it's Early Access so I'll wait until their committed to a full release." Full honesty, I still don't know if they are or not. But what's already here is definitely a full package experience. Unlike probably most, I haven't played Factorio or similar games. Maybe I'm shallow, but the only reason this game drew my attention at all was because #space. But man, does it work. Unlike others, you get a very significant expansion of scope as your technology and throughput increases. Your not staring at the same map for hours on end - you're building up from a modest corner of the world, to a factory hub, to suddenly making planet-spanning designs, to flinging yourself across the solar system, then between stars. Just like how seeing a smaller setup functioning correctly is satisfying, seeing the space between planets light up with dozens of hundreds of small lights from ships is just as much satisfying, if not more so. There's a real sense of exploration, albeit on the level of Elite Dangerous rather than NMS. But just overall, this game went from a game I thought I'd only put a couple hours into, to completely eating up any free time and thoughts. I recommend this game not just to factory-builder fans, but to problem-solving minds in general.

Amazing. It doesn't quite click until you replay your first level, spot a level hint, and suddenly unlock the true fun of each map. My only critique against the game is that it should put this mechanic more front-and-center during its tutorial stages. Many players simply continue from stage to stage without realizing half the gameplay is earning Insight points on each map. Also, this game has a weird oversight. For ex., Soundfall, a game built around music, has the emptiest, quietest loading screen I've seen in a modern game. In the similar vein, Neon White, a game built around speed, has the slowest, unskipable end-screen for each level clear. No amount of clicking or spacebar smashing speeds up the animations and results at the end of each clear, which is just bewildering to me. Other than that, fantastic game.
