Early Access Review
Hunt:Showdown - new project Crytek. The developers decided to try themselves in a modern way (multiplayer) and they did it. After the hideous Crysis 3 - Crytek had a hard time and they were on the verge of disbanding, but they were given a chance and they created an amazing, multiplayer game. The best game in its genre and perhaps the only one. The game draws you instantly. If you haven't tried the new brainchild of Crytek, it is strongly recommended to acquire.

Excellent continuation, with new changes in gameplay. Added more weapons, changed the physics of shooting and etc. The plot turned out to be interesting , but the final of the game allegedly hints that there will be a maximum of 2-3 games. The only drawback of the sequel is the cut scenes. I was expecting beautiful, CGI scenes like in season 1, but got a picture slideshow. This may have been caused by litigation with a previous publisher, etc.

It's 1918. Spanish flu is raging in the United Kingdom. In the story, known in London and beyond the doctor Jonathan Reid comes to life in a mass grave.

Without understanding anything, the hero, led by an unclear force, bites into the throat of the first girl he meets and sucks out the blood. When he comes to, Jonathan realizes that he is a new vampire, and his first victim is his own sister.

Having gathered strength, the hero decides at all costs to find out who turned him into a bloodsucker, and avenge the death of his sister. In the first minutes of the game, Jonathan meets the head of the local hospital, which in parallel with the medical activities involved in the study of vampires and even consists in a certain secret order.

Jonathan agrees to work at the hospital on the night shift, so he will have a cover and the opportunity to conduct their search. Communicating with people in different parts of London, the hero learns a lot about them and opens lines in dialogues. The more information you can learn about a particular person, the more experience you can get if you suck the blood out of him. We're playing for a vampire, remember?

But Vampyr gives you the opportunity to save the lives of the characters. It is not necessary to hypnotize each counter, to get him into the doorway and bite his fangs into his neck. The fewer people die because of your fault, the more peaceful the situation will be in each particular area of London. But without blood, the main character slowly pumps their skills, which means to fight monsters and vampire hunters each time it becomes more and more difficult.

Murder not only give experience points, but also lead to completely non-obvious consequences. Vampyr-a game with a slight touch of nonlinearity. Killing any important character, you can seriously lower the level of prosperity of the district. There will be more monsters, and some chains of quests will be lost.

It would seem that the solution is obvious: to pass the game with a conditional rating of "good", you just do not kill anyone. The battles will get harder, but everything else will be fine. But no. The consequences of your decisions can never be calculated in advance, and good intentions paved the road is clear where.

Vampyr is not shy to manipulate the expectations of the player. Sometimes it's annoying ("I like the best, and now here it is!"), but in the end it turns out an interesting story. In addition, most of the characters are not so sweethearts as it seems at first glance.

The most controversial part of Vampyr is the combat system. On the one hand, it is quite diverse. Pumping, Jonathan gets new vampire skills that can be used in combat. This is spent blood-it must be sucked out of the enemies right during the battles. In addition, there is a variety of short-range and long-range weapons with a different set of characteristics.

Vampyr is an atmospheric adventure game about a vampire who has become such not on their own. The history of a personal tragedy increases over time to the scale of the problems of the whole country. And defects in game mechanics in such context become almost imperceptible.

The game takes us to the fictional American County of hope Montana. This area was seized by sectarians with their leader, Father Joseph Seed. They robbed, seized buildings, armed and built huge bunkers, preparing for the "Collapse" – so called the end of the world the sectarians themselves. Will have to play for the nameless deputy sheriff. We, in the company of the Sheriff and U.S. Marshal himself, are heading by helicopter to Joseph Seed for a simple mission – indictment and subsequent arrest.

Flight, landing, a visit to a sectarian Church. The Marshal reads the accusation, and all we have to do is handcuff the Savior of all life, while he prophesies with his insinuating voice about the coming collapse and his own choice.

During takeoff, the helicopter crashes, Father Joseph gets out from under the debris and announces the beginning of a bloody harvest, thus he unleashes them redemption.

And the player will have to go through all the circles of this "Paradise" and get out of the clutches of the sect, simultaneously destroying it. Thus begins the story of "New Eden`s Gate", it`s leader Joseph Seed and the Trinity of messengers – Jacob Seed, John Seed and Faith Seed.

Pros of the game:

1) A huge, beautiful and dynamically changing open world.
2) Cool setting of the American state of Montana and bright characters.
3) Gorgeous action that does not let you get bored for a second.
4) An impressive amount of game content and game mechanics.
5) Four wonderful villains with their unique charisma.
6) A great soundtrack, intertwining a lot of genres.
7) Great AI-assistants and tame animals.
8) The possibility of cooperative transmission game.

Cons of the game:

1) Ubisoft is not shy to resort to self-copying, which is frustrating.
2) The plot is sometimes frustrating with repetitive approaches.
3) Problems with the range of drawing objects.
4) Microtransactions darken the overall picture.
5) Small flaws and minor bugs.

Singleplayer:
Campaign - just the one that we were promised, and what was needed. Shooting and meat start right away — and then, without stopping, with only a short respite. For example, during the transition from one informal arena to another or during a small plot retreat. History here, of course, little. We immediately say Yes, opened a portal to Hell because "why not" refer to blame and anti-heroes. And you, soldier, go kill them all. And you silently you go this to do — ruthlessly and with enthusiasm. Not that the authors were too lazy or stupid: they deliberately did not load the script. This is obvious, because in itself, for this particular concept, it is almost perfect — from motivations and characters to replicas. When you get to the final boss, he will say just one short phrase, but very elegant in its irony and simplicity. The single is very reminiscent of the classics: again locations consist of short corridors, multi-level arenas and cunning hiding places. Some doors are closed, and they have to look for keys — it makes you explore the territory, and not the most convenient global map to this once again pushes. This is the case when the minus works as a plus. Scattered everywhere kits, cartridges, sometimes the cans of petrol for the saw, but they are rare, because the saw is a real weapon. The Elevator doors open and close like the jaws of a hungry beast. Each weapon feels powerful. Demons climb from all sides, but in measure. They are, as before, forced to spin and jump. It is vital to stop and look back. Even if health is at zero, it is much easier to survive if you continue to shoot and press the heads of monsters.

Verdict:
The game will appeal to all those who lacked the very DOOM, but once again held the first game was not strong. Massive gamer, spoiled all the new-fangled shooters with the lack of challenge, the game will seem worthless.

I had some doubts about this prequel is that it will be a failure - I decided to buy and test this theory. And my guess was incorrect. The prequel was very interesting and touching. The developers have told an interesting story about Rachel Amber at the end, we were reminded what happened to her in the end. And at this moment I shed a tear. So who else decided not to buy the prequel, feel free to recommend it to buy.
