The first monster hunter game where I actually cared about the story, and felt like the main character. The new way that Wilds presents its story to you is controversial, but I had a really great time with it. It's worth picking it up, maybe on discount, for the main missions alone.

Worth noting that the game runs like garbage, my top-of-the-line GPU just about manages to get a constant 60fps out of the game on the near-highest (but not THE highest) settings. Many people report much worse, and I believe it. If you don't have a top-end machine, maybe sit it out until this gets fixed.

A fantastic spiritual successor to Pokémon that has filled the void in my soul left by the recent not-so-great Pokémon games, but beyond that it has it's own identity with a far more complex battle system that is easy to learn but takes a lot to master. Complete with actual MMO style endgame co-op raids, it scratches a lot of itches that many games have tried and failed to before.
