The combat is super satisfying to make cool combos and use amazing abilities, and the boss fights are great with the presentation and stellar music. Clive's story and the story of all the people he meets on the way is truly fantastic and well worth seeing through to the end

Honestly, I am liking this way more than the base game. The bosses are tough, but the exploring is so much more fun. Once again, FromSoftware DLC is the best part of the game

Style, jams, speed, comedy, mystery, and action. It's got it all and it's absolutely fantastic

While the combination of genres and mechanics was novel at the beginning, it just ends up being soul-less. "Pokemon with Guns" is a funny and evocative tag line, it really is just a gathering and crafting grind game. While there is automation with pals, some key resources (for example iron) have to be taken in to consideration before even setting up a base. If you don't know this then either redo your entire set up or make a brand new one. The pals are a fun addition, but because they rely so heavily on pokemon designs it makes them hard to enjoy as their own thing. Like it definitely hits a "cool" or "cute" factor, but it feels so targeted and cynical. The "humor" is definitely a choice, and not everyone's cup of tea.

Honestly, an open world "monster catching" is only about 40% of this game. The rest is a checklist and ladder of xp for gathering, crafting, and killing. There's no point.

Very fun and "tactile" climbing that never gets old alongside an absolutely beautiful world, music, and atmosphere.

Truly a fantastic 3D platformer, with overwhelming charm and fun

Incredibly unique puzzle game that's one of a kind.

Pretty short, but extremely tight and a big rush all the way through. The first game was great, and this one somehow improves upon it. Besides the music and visuals which set the stage incredibly well, the game continues to bring new things to the table all the way until the credits.
