I can't believe I didn't write an review for Like a Dragon: Ishin, the game is really amazing and it really feels amazing, I heard tho that they cut/changed some sidequests but I am all fine about that.
It's a 9/10 at best maybe an 8/10, sometimes the story was confusing.

Since this is the first spin-off localized, I also played the other spin-offs and I am going to leave reviews here.

Kurohyō: Ryū ga Gotoku Shinshō: This game was pretty alright, the main character Ukyo Tatsuya is one of the best RGG characters, I hope he appears in the mainline games. The story overall was kinda rushed and predictable but still pretty good. 8/10

Kurohyou 2: Ryu ga Gotoku Ashura Hen: This is the sequel of the first game, between the first and this, I gotta say this is my top 5 RGG games, they have so many amazing interactions and cameos of the past RGG characters, plus the main story is beyond amazing with an amazing villain. 10/10

Yakuza: Dead Souls: Oh boy, this was a sort of fun playthrough, I just played it because I felt it could've been really amazing and it wasn't really good, it was extremely repetitive but main story was okay, I would've loved if you could've also fight like in the older games instead of non-stop shooting (Kiryu had this in a short part of the main story beating/punchin zombies), I only recommend Yakuza Dead Souls if you really love the entire series, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR NEW FOLKS TRYING TO GET INTO THE SERIES, THIS SHOULD BE ONLY PLAYED IF YOU WANT MORE YAKUZA CONTENT.

Ryū ga Gotoku Kenzan! / Yakuza: Kenzan!: This game doesn't have a proper translation yet so I couldn't play it, hoping they remaster/remake this one too.
There is a fan translation in progress but with little to no news, the last news were a few months ago and it's been in works for a few years. There is no proper way to play it yet.

I am going to be very honest about this review and I am not going to mention any shady DLC business that SEGA is doing. I pre-ordered the game way way back and I gotta say it's worth the money for me at least.

Spoilers ahead

The game is really beautiful in every way and sense possible, everything was a major upgrade from the past game (maybe beside the two DLC Jobs from 7 that didn't appear), the story was indeed a little bit confusing at times but everything almost got tied up at the end, there are a lot of people saying that the story is weaker than the past games or like it's close to Yakuza 4 worst, which is a bad statement, this a 9/10 story for sure.

The characters didn't feel bland at all, the new party member Chitose and Tomizawa were really great and each one of them had their own "arc" in the story, the antagonists were also pretty damn good, Yamai being the best character in this game and not forgetting Ebina which is clearly "What if Ichiban was a bad guy?" which is really good in contrast to everything else.

But I gotta say the whole romance thingy between Saeko and Ichiban felt cringey and not great at all, it wasn't really comic relief to me at least, I used to ship them in the first game and now it felt forced and not that good, beside the scenes from the start of the final chapter. (Not the end because it was somehow good at first and then it ended being cringe)
The only complaint that I have is how THEY STILL forget some old characters that were important in the story, like The Florist or Nakahara and at the same time I wanted the game to have at least some Kurohyou references (maybe beside the Asakura boxing champion) but it is what it is, we got a lot of other really amazing references that were quite forgotten.
There is also the whole Hanawa thing but it wasn't too bad, they at least mentioned him in the last chapter and it was quite good in my opinion, at least it wasn't just a small slide show and that was all.

The minigames were also really great, Sujimon was nearly perfect and I loved it but I hope the next installment is going to be even bigger on this premise, I would love to see all the Sujimons from the Sujidex (beside the main story characters) and maybe having randomly generated enemies with different types of sujimons.

Ending it I wanted to say that the last game was named "Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased his name" and the last achievement for this game is "The Man Who Regained His Name" which is a perfect ending.

It's a 9.5/10.
