While the base game is $3, with the current state of the DLC situation, it is kind of hard to recommend a game where the the other 50% of the game is locked behind a paywall.

This game is extremely similar to osu!'s taiko gamemode as well as the game that was based off of; taiko no tatsujin. The biggest difference I have seen is some notes taking more hits (i.e certain boss fight moments and the "punching bag" enemy), but other then that, its nothing special. There are also characters and pets that have traits to them that benefit you in game, but that really isn't worth regarding, since most of their abilities are useless unless you are not attempting to FC a song (which is what I try to do).

The base songs are nothing special, some are actually good/decent, but most are subpar and are very vocaloid, which I don't mind, but in the songs featured in the base game, they kinda pushed it too far. I'd like the game much better if you could make/map you own songs, like in osu!, but nonetheless, the songs in the game are 'meh' at best.

If you are looking for a game like taiko no tatsujin, just play osu!'s version. It's free and open source, plus has a bigger and better song collection. Seriously, don't waste your precious $3. The game was fun at first, but now that I have played it to the extent that it has to offer, it honestly is just a bore now

This game has NO content whatsoever. I am honastly as far as to take this as a joke. The game starts out fun for 1 HOUR...and then you switch to a more addicting game. If there is anything I despise, it is a game that is only fun for such a little amount of time. Also, the emense amount of bugs will drive you insane, as well as there being no new house layouts and barely any updates or feedback to the community

Unless they release more content, and maybe some non-multiplayer gamemodes, and a tutorial, Don't waste your $5 on this game.

Ok, I've decided to change this review for a few reasons...:

This game is fun, I actually like and enjoy the game, but being in early access, unless you buy/rent your own server, this game is currently a flop.

The horrendus amount of develepor switches has opened my eyes to showing that the game is in a state where it's hard to work on.

I don't want the current devs to abandon the project, I just want a genuine rework of the game, and more content.

But with there being so many develepors leaving and coming back, I don't know how long people are going to last with this game being basically on life support.

All I can say, is that the game has an active playerbase, so if you want to have some random fun, and can cope with all the random bugs, and the cost of renting a server, buy the game. If not, you might want to stay away for a little while, until the game is fixed.

I mean thats Messed up, but anyway, if you said yes to any of these then garry's mod is the choice for you!

It is litteraly the game of freedom. You can litteraly do whatever you want. There are so many saves of so many things and the community makes so many damn mods/maps to the game, you'll have so much to do before you get bored. It is the ultimate $10 game that will blow your mind on what people can create with the source engine. And even if you don't like a sandbox game, there is still PLENTY of gamemodes to try out. From TTT, to murder, to even stop it slender, the gamemode's, sillyness, and diversity will never kill this game.

Honestly, this game is fun, but after 20-30 minutes it is very redundant and boring and you'll switch to something else. I love the features to this game and I feel that the game will grow to become something better than it is now, but right now, it is "Collecting cute slimes and waiting simulator."
