Game has good bones, could use some more updates.

Great continuation of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise both in narrative and gameplay.

The game runs well and is an enjoyable civ-like. I enjoy the goods production mechanic, but it is begging for some kind of automation/UI ease in the late game. I ended up just ignoring the mechanic eventually because I didn't want to slot in items into the couple hundred farms in my nation. Additional automation as the game goes on could be interesting, maybe as an element of some kind of government or bureaucracy tech.

I also really enjoyed that turns are resolved simultaneously, so combat kind of feels like the old board game 'diplomacy'.

Like all other modern paradox products, this game is a buggy mess that is poorly optimized and eventually becomes unplayable. I figured I'd give it time after initial release to get better, and if this is an improved state I don't want to know how bad it was for early adopters. I suspect like Victoria 3 the priority will be to release new content (that was in prior base games) while never fixing any of the performance issues that render the game unplayable.

You should avoid this and just play Cities Skylines 1.

Love spending $40+ on a game that I am not able to play. Super cool that I can't get a refund.

This game has good bones but is buggy as hell. Pass on it until the first DLC comes out.

Update 3/20/23: The recent update fixed a lot of the bugs that had been playing the game but there are still game breaking bugs present. I still don't think I could recommend the game to someone since they will run into situations where a 20 hour game ends on a bug and the save file has to be scrapped.

Update 11/19/23: Game is still insanely buggy. They seem more interested in rolling out DLC and new mechanics than they do in fixing the bugs.

Update 3/9/24: Game is less buggy, but still crashes fairly often. The new migration system in the latest patch does not seem to actually work. Can play as Qing with 18M unemployed and nobody will migrate to conquered provinces with high infrastructure, job availability, and 50-70 migration attraction. There are also still 'no path to frontline' problems where there should not be.

The Dev's are actively working on the game and fixing it, so i do have hope that it will one day be finished, but right now it is not.

I played bass about 15 years ago on a pretty regular basis. Been wanting to pick it up again but have zero desire to play with other people or in a band. This scratches the itch very nicely.

Seems allright.

Needs another 6 months.
