Absolute trash of a remaster. Still runs on 1 core so performance is really...really bad. DLSS is pointless and does not improve performance with this 1 CPU core crutch BS. If this HUGE issue was not present and if they would have added multi threading support then the performance would not be a problem. FYI this all on a RTX 3090 @1440p & 4k. No manual saving and no quick saving (WTF??). The AI is trash compared to the original. A failure and should be buried and forgotten. Go play the original with mods that look 2x better and offer much better performance. The only thing this remaster has to offer is pretty vibrant colors and ray traced reflections. Yes that is right, RT is only implemented in reflections in this release. -100/10

EDIT 12/14/2021: After further playing, this checkpoint system is the most ridiculous ♥♥♥♥ out there. If a checkpoint occurs at the wrong time for example when you die to 15 KPA oh man good luck getting outta of that one lol. It becomes comedic at that point... Oh and a quick heads up, the bushes DO NOT work correctly so enemies can see you no matter what difficulty you are playing. There is a mod by the name of Blackfire's that adds quick saves feature which is nice BUT, it's a lighting mod. Not everyone will like it.


To touch on performance, there is another mod called "Improvement Project" that increases GPU utilization which is wonderful! (+numerous fixes that were missing) Now GPU usage is at a constant 99% with 156fps stable on "can it run crysis" settings WITHOUT USING DLSS!!! That's right! Native resolution so no ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ghosting and no artifacts!!! And guess what else? It increase CPU utilization aswell on all cores!! Incredible that a modder can fix what the official developers can't.
