"Return of the Master Chief. Chapter first"

The long-awaited sequel to the iconic first-person shooter series. Six years of nervous anticipation, a development restart, release date postponements, concept changes, media speculation, a flop at the Xbox Showcase 2020 and a triumphant comeback in 2021. And the main question that is hanging in the air and to which you are waiting for an answer is whether this game was worth so many years of hopes and expectations? Definitely worth it!

Halo Infinite's storyline begins some time after the events of Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2. Humanity is defeated, the Covenant is destroyed, Cortana is gone, and the Exiles seized power in the galaxy, led by Esharum, who is the old teacher and mentor of the deceased leader of the Brutus Atriox, whose glory of the cult continues the victorious procession. The exiles not only continue to finish off the remnants of the UNSC, but also try to restore the ancient Halo called "Zeta", or simply "Installation 07", which was destroyed as a result of mysterious events. The Master Chief, after being defeated by Atriox drifting in outer space, accidentally finds one of the surviving pelican pilots. After awakening, Master Chief, along with the surviving pilot and a certain AI called "Weapon", will have to save the remnants of the UNSC, prevent the Exiles' plans, find out what happened to Cortana, and uncover the secrets of Halo Zeta.

Halo Infinite is divided into several gameplay parts, these are: an open world in the best traditions of the very first original game, but with more substantial variety, filling the world and a certain freedom of play; as well as a classic game campaign consisting of linear story missions following each other. You can choose how you want to play. You will be able to easily play in the style of old games, just following the path of "golden missions" and go through only story missions, without being distracted by side activities and Halo exploration, while not losing anything, without complicating the passage of the game and not limiting yourself in any way. Or, you can step back from the golden path of the storyline Campaign and enjoy optional battles, hunts for mini-bosses, clearing bases, collecting rare items placed on a huge game map and exploring the world around you. And there is a third way, my favorite, you can skillfully combine the passage of the tasks of the golden path, sometimes diluting them with the passage of variable activities in the open world. I think this is the ideal way to play Halo Infinite, and I followed this approach.

To say that the game turned out amazing is to say nothing. Halo Infinite is the Halo it should be, deep, graceful, interesting and addicting. The epic storyline is intertwined with the stunning setting of the game scenes, the characters are perfectly written and their motivation is crystal clear, and the director's movie camera flying around the characters during the action, intimately and accurately conveys all the plot moments and makes you stay in suspense. All this beautiful and interesting performance is accurately accompanied by a stunning and mesmerizing orchestral soundtrack. Visually, the game also looks stunning, an atmospheric recreation of the game world, detailed detailing, deep lighting, absolutely stunning cut-scene animations on the game engine, crystal-recorded sound of the environment, dialogues and firing from weapons, physics of objects at the level of the Source engine and outrageous quality of textures - all this is amazing. No, this is not a next gen, there is no breakthrough in graphics, absolutely, but this is a game of the bygone generation, perfectly executed in all technical aspects, at the maximum level of elaboration of everything and everyone.

The gameplay is simple at its core and therefore brilliant. Halo Infinite is the quintessential first-person shooter game. Here, all the mechanics of the shooter component of the gameplay are worked out as much as possible. Each weapon is as original as possible, and you use it depending on the specific situation, each approach to the battle is extremely unique. You can be a lone sniper, you can be a stealthy stealth agent, you can also become a team leader and act together, or you can destroy the enemy from the air, or from the ground using various techniques, you can become a Rambo at the end of the end, or just being a Master Chief, nothing is forbidden to you. You can do whatever you want and combine it all and it will always work. This is absolute freedom in the options for destroying enemies. With all this, the enemies are not inferior to you in any aspects, they are smart, they are cunning, they change tactics and act together, or act alone, they flank you, they run away, they hide or use available techniques. The game characters and enemies have many options for behavior, and many options for replicas, for the entire time of the game I have never even met the same lines, they were always different, this is amazing. Each battle is unique, each new attempt at passing gives a new experience and emotions.

Are there any negative points, you ask? Of course have! And for the most part, these are technical moments, like the fact that it is impossible to collect all the items in one playthrough, or it is impossible to get into some locations after the completion of the story missions, and it is also impossible to replay the missions that you have already passed, as was possible in the early games. This can be a little annoying. But this is all insignificant and it may well be fixed with future patches, I hope it will be so, so I make a discount!

I will not talk more specifically about the plot and history, about the characters. Just because I do not want you to lose the enjoyment of the first playthrough of this game. I can only say one thing, the characters are colorful and well written, and each of them is interesting to follow and observe, each of the characters has a story and motivation. The plot is beautiful and very deep, it gives impressions, it makes you think and look for answers. And I conjure you: you must ... no ... you simply must collect all audio diaries and listen to them, because it is in the audio diaries and messages that 70% of the plot and history of the game, characters and the future of the game series are covered. All of this is served through finds scattered throughout the game world! Without this, you will not get all the pleasure and will not reveal most of the secrets of history. If you don't explore the open world, you are making a huge mistake! And yes, I hate to spoil it, but this new Halo series story is just the beginning of something bigger, with incredible cliffhangers just as the 343i devs promised.

This game can be said to be "Pilot Episode", the first chapter of the newest saga about the Master Chief and his adventures! As it should be for the coolest TV series! And this chapter came out amazing in every aspect!

We look forward to the continuation of this renewed story of Halo, infinite in length! For me, the game of the year is 2021!

Rock and roll!

One hundred and twenty unforgettable hours. That's how much time I spent in the game. And the most interesting thing, I would like to point out separately, 120 hours is the time spent exclusively on completing story missions (main story + secondary story missions). In general, I did not even begin to perform other optional and side (grind-copy-paste) tasks, in the style of "go there", "kill this", "steal that", "do something else", "buy a car", scattered in an endless scattering throughout the game world.

It has a wonderful plot, charismatic main and secondary characters, with surprisingly deeply written stories and characters. The city and the adjacent territories are incredibly huge and picturesque. Great graphics, addictive atmosphere and an indescribable soundtrack.

This game has shortcomings, an endless number of bugs and glitches, an absent and absolutely stupid AI of city residents and opponents who work on three and a half crooked scripts, non-working mechanics, a bunch of cut content that the developers promised but did not implement. It is worth turning aside from the passage of missions and the game begins to fall apart, there is no living world here and the sandbox does not work.

But all this pales before an incredibly interesting story that delays from the very beginning and does not let go until the very end, turning into a long and unforgettable adventure with characters in whom you believe, in whom you fall in love, with whom you empathize. It is best to use the open world solely as a way to move between tasks and not try to check the world for the sandbox to work, then the magic will not disappear and the feeling of a living universe will not leave until the very end.

I would definitely recommend this game to everyone. Despite all its inherent flaws, this game is good. In the end, this is one of the best story-driven video games, and one of the most memorable adventures in recent years.

Сто двадцать незабываемых часов. Именно столько времени я провёл в игре. И самое интересное, я отдельно хочу отметить, 120 часов - это время потраченное исключительно на прохождение сюжетных заданий (основной сюжет + второстепенные сюжетные задания). Я в общем-то даже не приступал к выполнению остальных необязательных и побочных (гринд-копи-паст) заданий, в стиле "сходи туда", "убей этого", "укради то", "сделай другое", "купи тачку", разбросанных бесконечной россыпью по всему игровому миру.

Здесь прекрасный сюжет, харизматичные главные и второстепенные персонажи, с удивительно глубоко прописанными историями и характерами. Город и прилегающие к нему территории невероятно огромные и колоритные. Прекрасная графика, затягивающая атмосфера и непередаваемый саундтрек.

В этой игре есть недостатки, бесконечное множество багов и глитчей, отсутствующий и абсолютно тупой ИИ жителей города и противников, которые работают на трёх с половиной кривых скриптах, неработающие механики, куча вырезанного контента, который обещали но не реализовали разработчики. Стоит свернуть в сторону от прохождения миссий и игра начинает рассыпаться на части, живого мира здесь нет и песочница не работает.

Но всё это меркнет перед невероятно интересной историей, которая затягивает с самого начала и не отпускает до самого конца, превращаясь в длинное и незабываемое приключение с персонажами в которых веришь, в которых влюбляешься, которым сопереживаешь. Лучше всего использовать открытый мир исключительно как способ перемещения между заданиями и не пытаться проверять мир на работоспособность песочницы, тогда магия не исчезнет и чувство живой вселенной не будет покидать до самого конца.

Я определённо рекомендую эту игру всем. Не смотря на все присущие ей недостатки, эта игра хорошая. В сухом остатке это одна из лучших сюжетных видеоигр, и одно из самых запоминающихся приключений за последние годы.

The multiplayer is perfect. Each weapon is skillfully worked out and is as different as possible in its properties and helps in various and specific situations, the game cards are as elaborated as possible and amazingly balanced. Here everything is decided by skill, teamwork and ingenuity. Nowadays, it is very rare to find such an approach. The game is so addictive that it is very difficult to get out of it. I want to play again and again.

Halo Infinite stands out from all other 2021 multiplayer games! Halo is simply the best of all competitors and is made with love.

An excellent cooperative shooter with elements of session and MMO games set in the stunning Alien universe.

The main thing that stands at the head of the game is a polished and balanced mechanics that works great, captures from the first minutes of the game and allows you to enjoy the process over and over again. And of course, the atmosphere of the famous universe is perfectly conveyed, in particular the film "Aliens" by James Cameron, which is great for this genre of video games, and is served in beautiful, atmospheric and well-developed locations.

The game is a mix of Left 4 Dead, The Division, and Killing Floor mechanics. Well-balanced gameplay that ranges from adrenaline-fueled chaotic battles with a swarm of thousands of xenomorphs to tactical positional skirmishes with WY's army of battle androids. There is an AI director system that varies the difficulty and intensity of battles depending on the style and speed of your team's play. Many variations of opponents with completely different abilities and behavior. For a team of three players, there are five classes of fighters to choose from, a flexible system for customizing marines and weapons, variable equipment, pumping skills, buffs, perks and ult.

Although the plot in this game is not in the first place, there are no cinematics and cut-scenes in the game, but it is still present and quite interesting, especially if you know the universe well. The narration is conveyed through briefings to tasks and dialogues with NPCs at the base, which are made in the style of an RPG with options for choosing lines. Simple, but tasteful. The base is a space battleship Endever, on which you can not only communicate with the NPC, but also buy or exchange equipment from local merchants. The game has a huge number of references to both the original films and Prometheus, as well as video games such as Alien Isolation.

All fans of such games as Left 4 Dead, The Division and Killing Floor, as well as fans of the Alien universe, especially the second film - be sure to familiarize yourself!

Главное, что стоит во главе игры - это отточенная и сбалансированная механика, которая прекрасно работает, захватывает с первых минут игры и позволяет получать удовольствие от процесса снова и снова. Ну и конечно же идеально переданная атмосфера знаменитой вселенной, в частности фильма "Чужие" Джеймса Кэмерона, которая отлично подходит для подобного жанра видео-игр, и подана в красивых, атмосферных и проработанных локациях.

Игра представляет собой смесь механик Left 4 Dead, The Division и Killing Floor. Хорошо сбалансированный геймплей, который варьируется от адреналиновых хаотических боёв с роем из тысяч ксеноморфов, до тактических позиционных перестрелок с армией боевых андроидов компании WY. Есть система ИИ-режиссёра варьирующего сложность и насыщенность боёв в зависимости от стиля и скорости игры вашей команды. Повествование подаётся через брифинги к заданиям и диалоги с НПЦ на базе, которые сделаны в стиле РПГ с вариантами выбора реплик. Простенько, но со вкусом. База представляет из себя космический боевой корабль Endever, на котором можно не только пообщаться с НПЦ, но и закупиться или обменяться снаряжением у местных торговцев. В игре огромное количество отсылок как к оригинальным фильмам, так и к Прометею, а так же видео-играм, например Alien Isolation.

Всем любителям таких игр как Left 4 Dead, The Division и Killing Floor, а так же фанатам вселенной Чужого, в особенности второго фильма - обязательно к ознакомлению!

"Brother"

A stunning crime drama in the spirit of the films of David Fincher, with great satirical humor like Guy Ritchie. A wonderful and sad story about two brothers striving for the American dream, through adversity and loss, about a difficult and long road to freedom.

Lively and memorable characters, a huge city that you literally feel, you feel its gigantic size, you feel how it lives, how it breathes, it literally swallows you with itself.

Excellent graphics, physics, staging and elaboration of the world from the first seconds make you believe in what is happening on the monitor and does not let go until the very end. There is no fantastic madness and surrealism that are inherent in the rest of the games in the series, everything is as realistic and serious as possible, with occasionally subtle and appropriate humor. This is not even a conditional "GTA", but rather "RDR" in the modern setting.

"Брат"

Потрясающая криминальная драма, в духе фильмов Дэвида Финчера, с отличным сатирическим юмором уровня Гая Ричи. Прекрасная и грустная история о двух братьях стремящихся к американской мечте, через невзгоды и потери, о трудной и долгой дороге к свободе.

Живые и запоминающиеся персонажи, огромный город, который ты буквально чувствуешь, чувствуешь его исполинские размеры, чувствуешь как он живёт, как дышит, он буквально поглощает тебя собой.

Отличная графика, физика, постановка и проработанность мира с первых секунд заставляют поверить в происходящее на мониторе и не отпускает до самого конца. Здесь нет фантастического сумасшествия и сюрреалистичности, которые присущи остальным играм серии, всё максимально реалистично и серьёзно, с периодически тонким и уместным юмором. Это даже не условная "GTA", а скорее "RDR" в современном сеттинге.

"Metroid + Megaman + Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain + Star Wars + Kin-Dza-Dza"

Good game. The coolest old school metroidvania platformer, from the fathers of the genre.

Wonderful graphics, mesmerizing desert atmosphere, amazing rocking soundtrack. A large and open world, with a bunch of secrets that changes as you progress, many ways to play, a lot of content and activities, many challenges and difficult dungeons. In addition, the game has a well-developed ENT, revealed through descriptions, a journal and diaries, and an interesting, slightly sad story in the style of a sci-fi parable, cute characters and very, very good Russian voice acting.

And of course, as in any old-school platformer, there is an unrealistic challenge and ass-bursting difficulty towards the end of the game (5 long Tower levels after killing the Boss and collecting 30 orbs is something with something, "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice "nervously smokes on the sidelines).

In general, if you are a fan of old-school platformers and metroidvania, as well as a fan of challenges and outrageous difficulty (in some points). If you like games like "Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain", "Metroid" and "Megaman". "Metroid + Megaman + Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain + Star Wars + Кин-Дза-Дза"

Отличная игра. Наикрутейший платформер-метроидвания старой школы, от отцов жанра.

Прекрасная графика, завораживающая пустынная атмосфера, потрясающий качающий саундтрек. Большой и открытый мир, с кучей секретов, который меняется по мере прохождения, множество способов игры, очень много контента и активностей, много испытаний и сложные подземелья. Ко всему прочему в игре присутствует проработанный ЛОР, раскрывающийся через описания, журнал и дневники, и интересный, немного грустный сюжет в стиле научно-фантастической притчи, милые персонажи и очень, очень хорошая русская озвучка.

И конечно же как и в любом олдскульном платформере здесь есть нереальный челлендж и жoпo-разрывающая сложность ближе к концу игры (5 длиннющих уровней Башни после убийства Босса и сбора 30 сфер - это что-то с чем-то, "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice" нервно покуривает в сторонке).

В общем, если вы фанат олдскульных платформеров и метроидваний, а так же любитель испытаний и запредельной сложности (в некоторых моментах). Если вам близки такие игры как "Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain", "Metroid" и "Megaman". Если вам нравится атмосфера таких фильмов как "Кин-Дза-Дза" и "Звёздные войны (пустынная планета Джакку и милые роботы)", то обязательно ознакомьтесь с данной игрой.

Моя любимая часть серии. 343i сотворили именно то, что от них ждали фанаты. Они не стали придумывать ничего нового, не стали менять геймплей, не стали ломать то, что прекрасно работало. А просто взяли всё самое лучшее, что было в предыдущих играх франшизы, выкинули спорные и неуклюжие моменты, бустанули графику, придумали глубокую и трогательную историю, персонажей за которых переживаешь, и приправили всё это космогоническим сюжетом, крутейшими синематиками и эпичных масштабов постановкой.

За исключением некоторых не сильно важных моментов - практически идеальная игра и лучший сиквел. Маст Хев!

"Тот самый Fallout"

Спустя два года, сквозь боль, злость и страдания, Bethesda превратила игру в то, что от неё ждали фанаты.

Огромный открытый мир, сотни разветвлённых квестов, тысячи точек интереса и секретов, случайные события, ежедневные\еженедельные\ежемесячные ивенты, вариативная прокачка и кастомизация, карта наград, широкая система лута и построек, глубокая социальная интеграция, кланы, сообщества, возможность играть как в соло, так и в кооперативе. Прибавьте сюда затягивающую атмосферу, детально проработанные локации, потрясающий ворлд-билдинг со своей историей, отличную графику, саундтрек, классическую систему диалогов, книжки, аудиозаписи, дневники, шмот. Игра затягивает с головой. Это тот мир - в который веришь. И он продолжает активно развиваться. Спустя столько времени - Маст Хев, и лучший Fallout в истории.

Из минусов только устаревший движок, работающий на пределе своих возможностей и лагающие сервера, но игра стоит того.
