The music and artstyle really help to develop the atmosphere.
The gameplay loop is satisfying enough (fish -> sell fish -> use money to upgrade so you can catch more fish -> to sell more fish -> to get better gear).
The story is intriguing and comes together at the end.
Once you beat the story it takes you back to just before you beat it so you can continue to catch all the fish you want!

Honestly my favourite part of this was just the mindlessness of cruising around the sea and catching fish :)
