I wasn't familiar with this tug-of-war strategy genre kind of game. Was excited to try Metal Slug Attack Reloaded on the Wwitch when I saw a trailer for it but that one felt a little overwhelming with all the upgrading and menu stuff. Warpips is definitely more my speed. I enjoy the graphics, feels pretty well balanced, and I liked the little commentary up top about imperialism

Japanese Breakfast's soundtrack drew me to this game in the first place and I of course loved it - there's such a great moment early on featuring it

this is a cute coming of age indie open world adventure game - really like the world building here

this game is an oldie tower defense game that i'm just now getting around to and really enjoying it. it's very well designed, and i'm finding myself kind of curious about this story it has going on- wasn't expecting that lol

idk if i've ever really played tower defense games outside of starcraft 1 custom maps and flash games back in the day, so it's been fun to get back into it.

If you're in the mood for a wholesome platformer, Harlow is the one to pick up

Watching the trailer I figured I'd enjoy this game but I wasn't expecting to get addicted to it

When I first sat down to play it, the one hour I set aside for playing it somehow slid into three. I was really enjoying progressing through the game and outfitting the ship with cute party supplies (I'm nothing if not a sucker for unlockables/collectibles!).

But even more importantly, I kept falling into that ever-elusive flow state you always seek out in games. It's always great to find a game that has both tight gameplay mechanics and a well laid out level design that allows you to reach flow state. As someone who prefers a controller I've been really happy with how the gameplay feels with it.

Also the music is fantastic as well- the soundtrack would stand well on its own even outside of the game

lol i don't want my playtime to stand as me endorsing this game. If you're like me and haven't played an MMORPG since runescape back in like '06 where you have a hunger for it, you might also find yourself sinking a lot of hours into this one, although it doesn't feel quite fun. I know I kept entering this skinner box voluntarily but I kept thinking "once I get to level x maybe it'll get fun again?"

The combat is fun and the gameplay itself feels like a fantastic base for a game and it has beautiful music and visuals but the game wasn't finished at release and still isn't and I'm not sure if the endgame is at all worth it, since I'm still like 7 levels away lol. There are certainly fun aspects to this game, crafting, exploring, etc but the PVE gets old after level 25 in its current state and PVP doesn't seem viable in anyway until you're level 60

I'd say it'd be best to wait until they figure out how to do PVP/event stuff for folks who aren't level 60 because the game feels pretty empty from levels 25 - 60 (and it's a dumb amount of time to get to 60)

an interesting cast of characters and a really neat sci-fi world (although purposefully feels close to home) - i'm definitely interested in playing through again soon
