Loved it but I named my in game cat after my real life cat and he died IRL so I shall not ever log in again as to not hurt my own feelings 😚

I played about 15.5 hours of this over the course of a few days, having unlocked all of the achievements, bought at least one of every item, and optimized the cafe to the extent that I wanted. I played entirely on the Steam Deck, so there may be some variability in what I experienced compared to if I had played on PC.

I overall had a positive experience with this game. It's very cute and the simple gameplay and relatively fast progression mean you're always getting an incremental sense of accomplishment. I especially liked building out my kitchen and competing with my employees to get orders cooked, which was a fun and engaging way to participate while waiting for the daily payout. That said, there are numerous quality of life improvements that could be added. These didn't detract enough from my enjoyment to make me frustrated or stop playing before completing the game, but I doubt I'll pick it back up for further work on my cafe or a second playthrough.

I thought it was interesting that, upon reaching the endgame, your cat capacity expands to 23 (the same number that you can adopt throughout the entire game). This kind of defeats the purpose of real-life cat cafes, but it seems like you can readopt all of the cats with some currency if you care to, which is great if you want to get a cat back that you adopted out to make space or obtain an achievement.

Issues that I saw:

• I saw a visual bug after reaching max friendship with everyone. When I used the phone booth, Carla-Lalla, Finley, and Bonner would show up with the correct number for their friendship level but the gauge next to it would be partially unfilled.
  
• Furniture placement was frustrating, especially for chairs that can't be placed unless they're right beside a table and in the correct orientation to face it. If you wanted to move a table and its four chairs by one space each because you expanded your cafe, you'd have to put one chair into your inventory, move the table, and then move all of the chairs around the table, including the one that you put into storage.
  
• Items for purchase were sorted alphabetically, which got frustrating when trying to re-up on ingredients.
  
• The furniture store only tells you if you have an item if it's in your inventory or it has a unique bonus, meaning you can overbuy if you've already placed an object such as a chair. This is a confusing experience if you're, say, trying to complete a table and chair set and don't have the exact count of the chairs that you've already bought and placed.
  
• Buying or retrieving a previously placed piece of furniture sends it to the absolute end of your inventory, leading to cumbersome scrolling.
  
• Some mechanisms, such as customer satisfaction, are poorly explained (e.g., number of toilets -- you're rated on some measure of their quality and quantity but you can't preview that value when you're decorating).
  
• There's RNG for level-up bonuses, so you may end up needing to adopt out cats that you wanted to keep just because no other cat rolled the right stats for you to get the right achievements. This is fixed later on when you can readopt any of the cats that left your cafe, but there's no way of knowing this before you fully upgrade the shrine.
  
• Your phone booth keeps ringing regulars every single day, even after you've completed their full friendship story.
  
• All employees end up doing pretty much the same thing despite being advertised for specific tasks.
  
• The endgame is overreliant on the currency from businesspeople (and loses need for witch, vagabond, and punk ).
  
• As far as I'm aware, there's no way to fully satisfy every customer type's needs (e.g., vagabonds wanting a whopping 15 space at max level ) but there's also no way to save cafe layouts or revert changes.
  
• You can't undo any changes you made to your cafe unless you roll back to a previous save. This means you can delete more than you wanted to and then have to start from scratch to rebuild.
  
• Space gets very cluttered if you're trying to meet your cats' needs but don't have the resources to buy the more condensed version of their caretaking items.
  
• Caretaking as a skill is completely unnecessary for employees if cats' needs are satisfied with their items.
  
• Cleaning and fixing are only infrequently needed, meaning a sufficiently active player can handle them without needing to spend level-up bonuses on unlocking those skills for employees.
  
• Expanding your space upward or downward removes all items that were placed on the wall.
  
• Items from Hoover's curiosities shop don't add much to gameplay -- they're expensive but there are only about two or three interactions that they'll each prompt, which don't seem to repeat .

Amazing game! Really relaxing gameplay, and the story is fun to follow!
