I'm a 35-year-old family guy with three mini-adventurers of my own, and one amazing partner in crime. By day, I'm a tech-savvy IT Consultant, diving into the digital realm for the past 18 years. But when the screens power down, the real fun begins!

You'll often find me with my nose buried in a book. I'm a die-hard fan of Fantasy and Science Fiction, and there's nothing like getting lost in a world of dragons, spaceships, and magic. From epic quests to futuristic dystopias, I'm all in.

Speaking of epic quests, I'm a big fan of tabletop roleplaying games, especially D&D. Creating characters, weaving stories, and rolling those dice is a blast. And when I'm not saving the world on paper, I'm probably saving it on my computer. Video games are a passion of mine, particularly RPGs. I love getting lost in immersive stories and occasionally multi-tasking with audiobooks while conquering virtual realms.

But it's not all about screens and pages for me. I've got a thing for 3D printing and painting tabletop miniatures. It's a hobby that brings out my inner artist and lets me craft miniature armies that are as unique as they are deadly.

When it's time to kick back and relax, I'm a sucker for movies and TV shows. Sci-fi and fantasy are my go-to genres, but I also have a soft spot for comedy. Laughter, after all, is the best magic in the world.

In fact, I'm not just a consumer of all things tabletop; I'm also a creator. I run an online tabletop miniature store, a small business adventure that keeps me connected to the gaming community. It's a labor of love that combines my passion for gaming and my entrepreneurial spirit.

So, there you have it – a glimpse into the geeky, techy, and creative world of this guy.

Factorio is a game that had me hooked from the moment I launched it. As a fan of similar games like Fortresscraft and Infinifactory, I had been eagerly awaiting the chance to play Factorio for some time. When I finally got the opportunity to sit down and play it after putting the kids to bed, I was not disappointed.

Although I made some rookie mistakes early on, I quickly learned the optimal way to do things. As I finally got my next science factory working, I couldn't help but think, "that's enough for now, I'll play some more tomorrow." But as it turns out, tomorrow had arrived and I had already spent an entire night playing. It's a dangerous time sink, but it's a blast.

Factorio offers an immersive experience where the challenge lies in solving mistakes and troubleshooting issues with your logistics or circuit network. It's incredibly rewarding when everything clicks and you finally get those trains running smoothly.

The game has recently received some fantastic quality-of-life updates, and with a massive community on sites like Factorioprints and countless YouTube channels producing guides and let's plays, there's never been a better time to jump in.

Be warned though, it's easy to lose yourself in this game. I found myself neglecting my responsibilities and forgetting to sleep as I became engrossed in figuring out why my primary iron bus wasn't compressed and where all the rubber had gone. However, if you're willing to take that risk, Factorio is a game that you won't regret playing.
