Butters was absolutely correct, He should be curating content on steam for all of us.

This is a game I never thought I would be playing but as soon as I saw the similarities to Animal Crossing and other games, I was hooked. I shamelessly bought the game and don't mind leaving my online status active while I play for hours on end.

The game definitely has the cute Hello Kitty vibe going on and plays very similar to Animal Crossing. The art style is what you would expect from Hello Kitty and it is done well. The accompanying music adds to the chill nature of the game with plenty of tracks to choose from and experience. The game-play replicates familiar ideas from similar games while injecting its own flavor into the mix giving it a familiar but slightly fresh feel.

You will get locked into hours of clearing out your island of usable crafting materials and currency to craft gifts, furniture, upgrades, equipment, and customization options. You will need to increase friendships to advance the story and unlock more equipment and areas. Just when you think you've unlocked the Island, it throws a few more new areas for you to explore and new items and characters to find. There is a lot to explore and do here.

One aspect I really enjoyed was the visitors feature. It works similar to Animal Crossing, but has been expanded on even more, adding more depth and making it even more rewarding to try and collect and craft everything in the game.

In Animal Crossing you had single visitor that would show up that you try and appease for several days to eventually move them into a home on your island. The visitor was always random and you just needed an empty home to throw them in. They would move in and the house would be decorated automatically with a theme that fit the character. In Hello Kitty they expanded and improved on this idea while adding more reward to collecting everything. You now have several cabins on the island you can purchase and eventually upgrade for more space. There is a list of rotating visitors but in order to get them to visit the island you need to have a cabin ready for them that meets all their requirements. Some of the requirements are the cabins location on the map, types of furniture in the home, types of items placed on surfaces in the home, and basic themes that match the personalities of the character looking to visit.

This makes collecting all the furniture, recipes, and items a must if you want to get people to permanently stay in your paradise or visit for more rewards. You are now managing a community of households and decorating them per the needs of the characters looking to stay. I find myself not just looking to collect one piece of everything but as many pieces I can get my hands on. I am even more of a fiend at looting and collecting than others games.

There are mini-games you will find on the island that are enjoyable on your first experience. They eventually end up being tasks that are added to the daily grind. They aren't as crucial to do every day but it is worth it to at least check out the offered prizes for any missing items in your collection. I tend to only play them if there is something I really want.

There are also ruins to find and explore that basically act as a bunch of very easy/simple puzzles. You will look to complete them all to collect their rewards but the challenge is completely absent, it doesn't require much thought to complete them and loot the spoils. You will clear them out for the loot and forget about them forever.

All in all, this game is worth spending all your time on the internet playing instead of World of Warcraft.

Don't hesitate to buy, you will enjoy.
