At the time of writing this I have beaten 3 different playthroughs. 1 on hardcore and 2 & 3 on professional and I still have alot of challenges and fun left with this game.

I feel this is important to start with. This game does have some cut content and content that is later coming in as a DLC (Ada story) but other than a few cut areas and content this entire game just feels like a improvement compared to the original and despite personally not playing the 2005 version until the remake was announced I feel like this is the better version and veterans of the series and 2005 version will almost always agree.

Getting rid of the tank controls from the original, the remake decides to give us a more modern control scheme for this game allowing us to Aim, Reload, And walk while aiming down our sights. We also have full view of our camera in this game unlike the camera being tied to where Leon was looking in 2005. Combat also feels alot better and smoother the melees feeling alot stronger and the brand new parry mechanic really making leon feel like a even cooler badass in this version.

I feel gameplay comes over story in alot of games but the story of this game is amazing just like in the original. With a few more plot points and giving us a little bit more lore about the los iluminados and what exactly the parasite that plays a important role in this game. The setting and story of this remake really makes the game feel more like a horror game than the original game. Now I want to be spoiler free for this. Set in Spain You are playing as Leon S Kennedy in this game and it shows what happened after the R.P.D incident in Raccoon City in Resident Evil 2 you are tasked to save the presidents daughter Ashley Graham who have been taken by the cult Los Iluminados. Going through a village, a castle, a island and many other parts of the world of resident evil 4 facing different bosses and enemies all around its a 10/10 story that deserves to be played by everyone.

The Characters of this game are amazing and alot more likable than their 2005 counterparts execpt for a few with Leon being a little bit more serious in this game than in 2005 he still cracks jokes and one liners here and there during the game. Ashley Graham probably the most annoying character in the original has been redefined in looks and personality being alot more optimistic and alot more fun to be around than her 2005 counterpart. She cracks jokes and has playful banter with Leon and she is helpful in the story helping Leon with some fights and areas proud to be helping Leon through the nightmares they endure through the game. Other characters you meet in this game just are upgraded versions imo. Being alot more fun to listen and banter with Leon.
