game is nice but the new next gen update is ♥♥♥♥ and broke the mods for everyone, me included. had to downgrade to get everything in working order again which was a few days hassle but worth it in the end

rough start back then with the server issues, then the whole sony PSN fiasco and the complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the balance BUT FINALLY the game is going in a good direction again
just gotta wait and see what the future holds for this game now, right now it is a bunch of fun again

I wish there was another option besides 'Yes', that obligates one to buy this game, it is that amazing.
The workshop is filled to the brim with mods you can easily implement, essentially giving you neverending content.
Mods do tend to give the game a longer loading time, but in my 700 hours, I at most spent two hours waiting in total.
Still, I'd recommend putting the game on an SSD, it made my loading times way shorter.
But if mods aren't your thing, the base game plus its DLCs are supreme as well.
Adding a bunch of quests and corresponding lines, the newest DLC even gives you the opportunity to make your own religion. You can pretty much make a colony consisting of naked, blind cannibalists who live in caves.

The amount stories you can tell in this game is endless and exciting. Generating a world and choosing a spot to build your small little empire on is thrilling, seeing it thrive or crumble to dust is captivating.

Now, stop reading this and put RimWorld in your cart.

This game forced me to relive my recently failed relationship and I am now devastated 10/10
