Gameplay: Combat is pretty fun, can be somewhat clunky at times but overall pretty satisfying. PVE is alright, to be honest, I haven't gotten to any of the end game stuff yet so I'm not sure how raids and dungeons will be but as of now, I think they will be alright. The real thing that keeps me playing is the thought of end game PVP which is gonna be a blast with the way weapons and abilities work.

Weapons: Weapons scale off of whatever stats they are associated with (I have all my points into dexterity so the weapons I can use efficiently are Rapier, Spear, Bow, and Musket with a secondary mastery into Hatchet, and Sword for example). I have tried most of the weapons and all of them are pretty fun each one has its own satisfying abilities to try out which keeps it interesting. The game is a classless system so you can respec as you please to try out new builds and weapons combinations. The fact that you are able to use two different weapons at a time with separate cooldowns makes for some interesting combinations when you combine abilities. Armor is the same kind of way with a damage bonus the lighter you are at the cost of being squishier and a CC bonus and defensive bonus the heavier you are at the cost of damage. It all is a little weird at first but makes sense after you mess around for a bit.

Objectives: The questing is pretty standard for an MMO, go here, do this, come back, etc. That is honestly the weakest part of the game in my opinion but I am still managing to make it fun for me because I can go off and do other things on the way to quests, like gathering or finding cool landmarks, stuff like that keeps it entertaining to level up. The game will send you to different locations that all feel somewhat similar, to be honest with goals that you have done before but as I said, for some reason, I am still finding enjoyment out of it maybe because it is new to me or something but we will see in a couple of weeks.

Trade Skills: There are 5 main gathering skills you train by gathering said materials. There are also a lot of different crafting skills that you can learn and the better you are at crafting an item from a specific workstation, the better they will come out making it beneficial to make your own equipment instead of relying on quest rewards that you might not want for your character. I honestly love the gathering skills because it gives me something to do on the side for XP while I am going to quest locations.

Graphics: Amazon made their own engine for this game and it is beautiful. I can only imagine what it would look like on max settings. The only complaint I have as of now is the lack of biomes, as far as I know, there are only woodland/mountain with a couple of swamp biomes in the game as of now, it would be cool to have some new ones which I'm sure will get added in the future.

Price: Only paying $40 (WITH NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE) for an MMO with this much polish and things to do at launch is a no-brainer for me. It's only gonna get better and amazon games have been adding more and more things throughout the beta to flush it out more. I am excited to see what else is planned but as of now there isn't really a road map of future content but there is talk about it in the community. THERE ARE NO PAY-TO-WIN ITEMS IN-GAME!! That is crazy for a AAA game that is cheaper than average in 2021 which makes me even more excited knowing Amazon games isn't out trying to cash grab its players, that is one main reason why I decided to buy it, to be honest.

Verdict: I probably missed some things but that is the gist of it and overall I strongly recommend anyone who is a fan of the genre or wants a new game to play to give it a shot. You're getting more than $40 worth of game here and I feel it is only gonna get better. The launch was a little rough with the queue times and what not but the problems are being worked out and as far as any game-breaking bugs or performance issues, I haven't had any personally, which is a surprise for a game from a new company during the first week of launch. I see myself playing this for quite some time in the future and was passionate enough to write all this, so in my opinion, you should give it a shot if it looks like something you would enjoy playing.
