One of the best Roguelites I’ve played honestly, competitive with Hades in terms of mechanics and just how fantastic the gameplay feels

I think that people are jumping quickly onto the massive overhaul of so many systems which hadn't changed in quite some time. Inital reactions to change are always going to present divisive emotions for a longstanding series with a veteren playerbase.

For starters, there is an issue among players that I wish to address. This issue spurs from the idea that Borderlands Pre-sequel is supposed to be a long game, This issue spurs from HOW you play the game, I played through the first time doing every single side mission as well as the main quest line and finished the game in about 16 hours. Therefore if you just focus on the Main Quest line then of course your game will take less time and you will miss out on important character Development on Jack, Which is the WHOLE point of this game.

On another note, This gameplay is wholesome and accurate, There have been complaints about the use of the same UI for players, but honestly I LIKE that Gearbox kept the same UI because there was really no issue with it during the entire Borderlands 2 playthrough.
“If its not broken, Don’t fix it!”

The game has a lot of progressive factors, The use of low gravity seemed like a shaky idea but Gearbox pulled through and gave the player more control over movement and actually did a pretty damn good job at making the low gravity not interfere with gameplay and give a pretty beneficial aspect to the game that is often done incorrectly or just wrong by other game developers.

The characters are also very improved, there has been both incorporation of your character into the story and subtle dialogue differences that occur with each character.

If you are going to complain about the vehicle controls then you should just realise that this control is equivalent to each of the other games in the series.

The overall story of the game does a very good job at filling the gaps between the two games both incorporating past events on Pandora and allowing the players from Borderlands 2 to connect to future events that will have happened during the future game. The portrayment of Jack is especially well planned and expressed, no single event seems out of place and can connect to the larger web of events that ultimately develop Jack into the character that you remember from Borderlands 2. There is a development of Jack through events that cause the Hero Jack to become the Villain that is depicted in Borderlands 2. Now this does NOT mean that I solely like Jack as a villain, Jack plays a strong role as a hero within the game and is just as likeable if not more so overall, now that we have seen the two different and dichotomy-esque sides of Jack.

On a personal note, I appreciate Gearbox for the further explanation of the story of Jack who is arguably one of the best villain-esque characters from any video game, movie, or book that I know of.
