Yeah its alright

I love the Darksouls franchise, its one of the few games that just lets you go and figure out your own way through.
but when it comes to darksouls 2 I feel as though it was the failed second child that was treated as an experiment.
The game by its self isnt inherantly bad but for a darksouls game it feels lacking.
Straight off the bat the deadzones on the controller are attrocious with only sharp turns being possible with not amount of small changes being possible with out modding making it feel "less clunky" but the game as a whole just has a clunky feel.
Most of the animations feel delayed or atleast are way too slow with rolls not feeling responsive and half the time not even negating damage while attaking and even HEALING feeling way to slow with a health gem enimation taking anywhere from 1.5 to 3 seconds to complete beofre you can do anything even the estus animation is far slower than that of Darksouls 1.

I don't understand the Direction Fromsoftware was going with this one and I pray that at some point they make a remastered version of this game that makes it everything it could have been by simply making feel more responsive and less of a clunk fest.

Please take this as an opion when deciding to buy this game as thats all it is, this is not meant to be a winge but a warning, "This is nothing like darksouls 1 or 3 if that is somthing you dont want then steer clear" if you are looking for a "Darksouls like" game then go ahead just be sure to get a deadzone mod if you are using a controller.

waste of money, the "alternative" control scheme isnt inovation or fun to over come its down right annoying and poor game design.
I would expect as much from the first FTP version but not a version they are asking money for.
Do not buy this game.

10/10 with day z would bang
