I've never been more passionate about not enjoying something, thank you (not) Miyazaki
I've written a 7 page PDF File about how bad this game is. to sum it up:

The Good:
-POWER STANCING!!!!
-Bonfire ascetic mechanic
-DS2 fashion souls>>>>
-NG+ adds actual content
-One boss is good (Fume Knight)

The Bad:
-Most of the worst boss runbacks in the series are here :)
-10 000 enemies per square inch
-lock on is awful
*Slow turns, slow run, jank
*Tutorial teaches u to use lock on, but it makes the game 5x more annoying
*Locked off play makes game enjoyable, but turns a majority of bosses trivial (because
they were designed around being locked on them)
-The game is TOO. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. SLOW. [both u and enemies are snails] which could be fun but everything around level design and enemy placement makes it frustrating and anti-fun.
-Rolling feels janky [iframes tied to AGILITY (ADP) stat] {you have to specifically stat for the game to feel fair}
-Max HP decrease while repeatedly dying [yes, you killed me, you don't have to spit in my face too]
-BACKSTABS ARE AWFUL - they don’t give iframes + lock u in the animations making it a cheap way to kill you :)
*same with chest opening and ladder animations btw :]
-LIFEGEMS - added only to compensate for the awfuly slow estus drinking speed, but stack like 50 of them and you're virtually unkillable (thus so many cheap ways to kill the player are present in the game)
