The combat is very fun but the game is very easy and dumbed-down. I'm torn here.
I love this franchise and was expecting a bigger better Monster Hunter: World but this doesn't even get near World. Hopefully they'll make it better as time goes by, but I'm not seeing it. The campaign doesn't give you the hunter feeling other games did, monsters are just there and you don't even have to track them at all. Items are just given to you magically, almost removing the need to go forage. You're constantly locked out from being able to explore during the campaign, which really limits gameplay. Being forced NOT to explore is something I never thought capcom would do to this franchise. With all that said, I still recommend the game. The combat feels great and you'll just blast through the game if you have the slightest idea how to play. Give us more challenge capcom, not just huge monsters in tiny arenas.

They tried something fancy and gracefully failed at delivering the plot.
This game was really disappointing, this is the worst Life is Strange game in my opinion.

It's pretty good so far, if you're not used to incremental games the beginning can be intimidating but you just have to push through and find more efficient designs

Regarding people saying upgrades were too costly, there was an update released today that reduced a lot of costs and added a lot more QoL
