Quite an interesting game with a cool story to tell. For fans of simple point-and-click adventure games, as well as space operas mixed with a 1940's murder mystery. The game opens with two parallel storylines, one of a man named Azriel searching for his captured brother he believe's has been taken to a prison called Center 7, and another storyline as a prisoner on Center 7 named Delta-Six. Both stories play-off each other very well and craft a unique flavour in the watered down world of space fantasy.

Much of the game consists of walking back and forth only a handful of different environments, with the odd cover-based gun fight that works relatively well though it could be much better. The entire game is voiced quite well which is nice and fits the space noir theme.

It's biggest faults come in the way of hidden objectives that blend into the haze of the background and are easily missed multiple times. While these can be very annoying the story does come alive towards the end and is an absolute joy to play. Even with it's issues, it's worth a playthrough. 8 / 10

When I look back in ten years at this game it's going to be one of those euphoric nostalgia trips that elegantly wofts me into a daze about the good ol' days when Rockstar finally made the leap from dated hardware to the PS3 and Xbox 360... coming to the PC a year later.

A pretty sizable chunk of my life has been spent playing this game. I played through the story about three or four times, and on PC with a different set of mods each time. Hundreds of hours were spent on the multiplayer and the add-on Episodes of Liberty City as well.

While it's no successor to San Andreas in the quirks department, GTA IV has it's heart set on a gritty, realistic, real-world story of revenge, decorated with the typical satire and rediculous characters. Certainly a great experience over again. 9 / 10

For fans of Terraria and Minecraft all rolled into one. I'll admit the whole mining and crafting concept is getting a little stale but I assure you this is not a clone. Cherry picking the best elements of the games of it's kin, Starbound has you explore a vast variety of alien planets choc full of entirely different materials, letting you craft an insane amount of items. Then when you feel the need, beam back to your ship and go explore another planet, some riddled with NPCs. My only guff with it right now is that the boss battles are brutally hard and finding some minerals can be next to impossible, but while it's still in early access I'll let it slide.

There are a number of games here on Steam that were made using this software, one of my favorites is 'To the Moon.' While I found it a little intimidating at first, I began to familiarize myself with it and before I knew it, designing a game became as easy as tying your shoes; something you don't really forget. Of course if you want to go beyond the generic tile sets and character models that are available the game supports that as well. In fact I recently began working on a project drawing everything in photoshop and then importing it to RPG Maker. Definitely a great, simple tool for making your story come to life. 8 / 10

Can't say I enjoyed this one much. I love the atmosphere and the story but it fails to immerse you thanks to some very frustrating aspects; enemies instantly know where you are despite being in a fairly hidden spot, and almost always respawn infinitely. I also encountered a broken level which prevented me from doing anything or interacting with anything. The only way around this was to replay the level before it and since this game is incredibly difficult it was not that much fun a second time. Plus it's got the most annoying kind of signing Russians. Seriously? 7 / 10

Quite a refreshing approach to the third-person action adventure genre. The story of Remember Me is all about manipulating, destroying and replacing memories in someone’s mind, blended with our own frail perception of reality. The concept alone is intriguing, but the way the game handles its environments, boss battles and music cues is top notch. The pace and variety of the gameplay is superb and genuinely exciting and challenging but fair throughout. Definitely an underrated game. 9 / 10

We just don't get games like this often enough. I wish there was more for me to tell you about, but everything is perfect. The story, the progression, the characters, the gameplay; it all wraps itself together like the most elegant little bow. Never a dull moment either, the story keeps you on the edge all the way to the end when it takes hold of your hand, smiles, and then delightfully explodes in a fustercluck of the mind. Simply brilliant experience. Everyone must play this game. Instant classic. 10 / 10

A fantastic reboot of the beloved adventure series. I'll admit it appears as though Crystal Dynamics have caved in and torn a page out of Uncharted, but with a much more serious and gritty undertone. It really feels like an evolution, not only of Lara Croft herself, but of the genre as a whole. Being able to develop and grow alongside our heroine is masterful and is sole reason you should play this game. The visuals, the mechanics, and everything else are why you should definitely play this game. 9 / 10

A purely joyous and refreshing first person experience. Excellent freerunning elements combined with very cool abilities make moving about the game world very fun and unique. Interesting but weak plotlines tend to hitch the game at times though, snagging it's mission-to-mission progression and making it a little difficult to stay focused on the end goal, but don't let that turn you away. Overall it's a brilliant game, brilliant execution, and a must play to any and all fans of stealth, action adventure, and first person games. 9 / 10

To the Moon is a 16-bit point-and-click adventure game heavy on story. You play as Eva and Neil who work for a nameless organization that reconstruct memories for those who wish they could change something in their past. For one man it's going to the moon, but through his highly complicated love life, he doesn't realize it until he's too old. Eva and Neil retrace his life to see what they can alter to make it different, and in the end, it's one emotional rollercoaster. This is a prime example of masterful storytelling, and to tell a story of this caliber with this medium is phenomenal. This game is an instant classic in my book; a game you'll want to play over and over again. Eva and Neil are quite dynamic together as well which warms you up to the unique progression. The biggest drawback seems to only be some unfunny dialogue and some needless pop culture references that sully its timelessness, but those are petty. I can only hope they make more games like this in the future. 9 / 10
