Currently, the game is not close to what it could be.

For a mostly singleplayer online game they sure worry a lot about nerfing /ruining fun builds every league. Build diversity is pretty low atm, certain playstyles are almost non-existent because of over the top nerfs.

The silent nerfs they simply omit from the change notes are not helping either. Frustrating loot changes and stupid mob design are killing the fun and wonder.

Too much grind, doesn't feel any fun at all. Trade needs at least 2 or 3 external tools to not feel entirely (edit) LAME. Every character every league has to redo the whole story again, which would be less annoying if you could actually make a decent build out of every skill somehow. But most skills suck anyway and wouldn't work with even a lot of work put into them.

Unique items are mostly garbage, except for maybe 5 for leveling and maybe 10-15 for end game across all classes. Unique bosses/monsters are easy, magic and rare monster instakill out of nowhere. Endless on-death effects from mobs that range from forever homing missile types, to one shots, to hardcore spam on-ground effects that are drowned out and invisible among the endless screen clutter. Plus no real indication of threat level.

There is no PVP, this is not a job. No need to kill every fun build every league. The current one doesn't even have a fun story or game mechanic.

Each and every anti-modding action by officials needs to be punished just a little.
