Indulge in another Grand Strategy where you'll use almost zero strategy to defeat an AI so bland CIV2's would put it to shame.

+ City building cool feature, Making cities was satisfying (However a bit confusing, and starting to lag my game out)
+ Multiple terrain layers is something new.

+ - This doesn't really play like CIV at all.

- Optimisation is horrendous, Game lags like crazy, a lot of people cant even boot the game, Scrolling into the world map is pulling my game to 2 FPS.
- UI is awful, I have no idea what the hell i'm doing, there is so much information on screen it would be easier to fly a fighter jet than understand this.
- Game feel's really un-inspired, I'm on Turn 200, and I'm so bored, the AI have yet to fight anything, I have yet to create a unit to fight, its like playing as Switzerland in WW2.
- Lacking Leader personalities, (I get that they didn't want to go the CIV route and use real life leaders), but the AI "Leaders" are all so bland, low poly and frankly irritating, I don't feel like i'm fighting a great empire but a low poly scout in a loincloth.
- The culture change makes no sense what so ever.. I was really looking forward to this, and think its a cool idea, BUT... It felt really weird starting as Egyptians, having all my Cities named after real Egyptian cities, then suddenly becoming Celt's? Then English? And my capital was still Memphis, I felt there was a massive disconnect here, not to mention it made it really hard to follow who owns what.
- Combat was cool the first time, then i Auto-Resolved every battle after.
- There is so little "thinking" in this game, The AI simply cheats on harder difficulty, city planning is "select higher number" for each district, its like babies first strategy game.
- The price for this game is abhorrent. I would play more but i know i cant justify spending £40+ on this game I'm already not enjoying.
