State of the art video game experience that has to be played to be believed. Although it acts as a prequel to Half Life 2, this is Half Life 3 in everything but name. If you have a VR headset that connects to steam you owe it to yourself to pick this up. I found some of the puzzles boring and really did not like the forced "Amnesia" gameplay introduced in the last 3/4 of the game. With that said, you haven't seen ♥♥♥♥ until you are crawling around on the floor listening for head crabs. It is tough to go back to regular 2D games after playing through Half Life Alyx.

A great, mid tier, game from 2014 that puts you back behind the scope as Karl Fairburne the American sniper. Historically you are fighting around Tobruk during 1942 so be prepared for a lot of desert sites and sounds.
The good:Psychotic xray mode when firing your various sniper rifles and some larger maps that lend well to the "one shot, one kill" methodology of sharp shooters. Open levels that allow you to tackle them with your style of play with no time limits. Want to belly crawl for half an hour to get into that nest and make the across the map kill on the officer? Go for it.
The bad:Enemy AI is abysmal and you may find yourself gaming their reactions rather than making tactical decisions. Maps with too many indoor areas are the weakest as the third person view just doesn't cut it for engaging enemies at short range. Be prepared to get caught on the scenery and wonder why your character cannot climb or manuever around the smallest obstacles.
The ugly:Grab it for dirt cheap on Steam for some rewarding if not repetitive gameplay. The xray kills never get old and the rather forgiving AI gives you room to explore your play style while causing mass casualty events on the axis powers behind the safety of a zoomed scope.

Punishing but rewarding metroidvania with a great 2D gothic world that looks like it was inspired by Zdzislaw Beksinki.

It's weird, feels foreign and totally unpolished. With that said it is fun as hell and with some elbow grease and maybe a few drinks in your system I can see a lot of opportunity for something like this.
