This is a mixed review at best. Let's break it down.

Mechanics: (A+
)This game has a really unique card system that is both simple to understand and very complex. There are infinite number of ways to build decks and the way it all plays together is very fun. I haven't enjoyed a card game so much in a very long time.

Story: (A+) Okay, so there are two plot lines. I won't spoil them but they exist. There is the plot line than sets up the lore of the in game world and introduces you to characters and the mechanics of the game and the "other" one. The main (in my opinion) plot is very whimsical and fun. It's dark yet intriguing while having a lot of charm. All 3 chapters including most of the ending are super well crafted with a nice wrap up.

Subplot: (F). Any part of the story where your character has a name is the sub plot. I hated it. It breaks immersion, as it is designed to, and i think it takes away from the really solid game that was made. It feels forced and poorly executed. It also makes very little sense and in my opinion was more annoying to deal with than anything.

All in all, this game was excellent (if you ignore the subplot.) I prefer not even acknowledge it's existence as lore and stick to the main. Doing that, I had a lot of fun. In the end, i decided thumbs up this because of how good MOST of the game was. Still, I really absolutely hated the subplot. . .
