I'd like to review other parts of the game, but I couldn't get very far. Did the developers of this game forget this is a game and games are supposed to be played for fun?

Edit: I have now also tried lockpicking: Also terrible. How hard is it to steal Elder Scrolls lockpicking?

I am also failing early speech check while being focused on a speech "build".

How can dev miss the mark so much. Do you love pain so much you get some in your limited free time on this earth?

I wish i could this game a neutral review. There's a lot of good in the game particularly with the QoL update it got with abilities. The weak point is the story. It's just not interesting and full of overused tropes. Ending is also not good. it's a good game to get on a big discount if you like turn-based tactical games.

I want to like this game. But there is so many weird decision made with this game. "Snipers" somehow refuse to take commanded shot while hidden, instead they run out of cover and stand up. Game want to force you to keep pushing a mission without the ability to save but all that does is force you to start over the entire mission every time you make a small mistake.

This game is a beautiful retelling of the Tower of Babel Myth. You are a casteless, language-less protagonist and through your interaction with the world and it's inhabitants you slowly start learning their custom through language. Each language has it's own characteristics and connection and through your curiosity you can help bridge the gap that was broken eons ago between each levels of the tower.

A short but overall very enjoyable puzzle adventure.

I want to like this game but it's giving me a terribly hard time.

Games like these should be about strategy and incremental growth. This is the essence of survival city building. Having very dumb random even like forcing "accident" even at optimal level and having people complain about basic necessities trying to survive the damn apocalypse and end of mankind end up giving me a bad taste. It looks nice, but I'd rather play Timberborn.

I bought this game Sunday afternoon and played this game for nearly a full day.

Yes it's that good and at the price offered it's a steal.

That being said I'm not without some criticism.

The Game is solved. What i mean is there is a strictly better path to play the game. The Laser machine gun without any upgrade purchased is by itself completely imbalanced to a point even the final magna/matrix cave uberguns are completely outclassed by it.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game and perhaps except for the final Buy all upgrade achievement didn't really need to grind to move forward and earn everything in the game. I hope to see some DLC or sequel and would gladly pay more for more time with this game

A must buy if you're a fan of rogue-lite, mining games and (a little) bullet hell.

As of today October 3rd 2021 i would not recommend playing this game. Game is very good, could require more balance as some build are way stronger than other. The reason i wouldn't recommend playing right now is I feel this game is victim of it's success. Dev may not have expected the number of players it is currently getting and servers seems to be overwhelmed by this, cause massive lags and causing actions (like buying/selling pets or any clicking in the game) to de-sync from the servers. Until this is patched or servers are upgraded The game is barely playable, which tend to ruin the fun after your 4th/5th restart in the same run.

I will update this review once this matter is resolved because I truly think if dev can fix this issue the game is a true gem.

EDIT: 2021-10-05: I am changing my review. Dev did their job and fixed the server issue.

I absolutely love the universe remedy has created with this game. The game doesn't hold you hand storywise, you have to pay attention. A must-buy for fan of good storytelling and third person action games.
