Find a weapon that works, grab some friends, and the game just sucks you in. 40 hours later and I still enjoy smacking a monster on the head over and over again. With free updates coming, more monsters, and a presumably long shelf life, I think this is a great game.

Fire Emblem but more in depth. Combat and gameplay is good, army building is satisfying and a great story. Less social aspects that Fire Emblem but this is perfect if you do not enjoy that in Fire Emblem games. Definitely recommend.

For the price it is, I say this is a good game. It's buggy but hopefully most of these will be ironed out over time. I really enjoy the characters, the banter feels natural and they're all interesting. Hopefully this is a good testing ground for Firaxis to make XCOM 3 the best game it can be.

10/10 would cry again
