Ignore my playtime- I've played this game off steam since it's beta nearly 20 years ago (2003!)

This game looks like a ps1 games yes, however it's one of the most incredible MMO's you'll ever play imo, I've tried many and none quite match Mabinogi's freedom of playstyle, aesthetic, vibe and feel... Perhaps its just nostalgia, but I can without a doubt say Mabi is the best MMORPG I've ever played- and I've played probably near to 100 since I was a child (which I was when I started playing this.)


To top it off- somehow the devs continue to support this game far more than you'd imagine a game 20~ years old would be getting- it regularly gets new content updates, entire storylines, new talents and skills and mechanics- infact the devs announced a couple years ago now that they were re-creating the entire game in Unreal engine 5, and from what they've shown off- its keeping quite true to the original style- which is incredible news considering when Nexon released their profits per game--- mabinogi raked in the least out of all their flagship titles...

s'alright short idle game

I got this for 49 cents... I beat it in 60~ minutes

It's very simple, not a whole lot of cards, I beat it without unlocking about half of the 31~ unlocks (not all are cards)

For 50 cents? Eh I guess it was worth half a can of soda.

It's an alright soulslike- I'd say its an easy 6~7/10- a cut below any actual souls game from- fromsoftware.

Out of all of them it plays most like DS2- I played with the big wheel weapons which had the best STR scaling- and it made the game feel extremely slow- I recommend trying something better- sure the weapon did lots of damage, killing most enemies in 2~3 hits and knocked them/staggered them quite easily but it was pretty boring.

I finished it in about 22 hrs~ while skipping maybe half the side quests at the end. (the side quests do affect the ending as far as I coudl tell)

I'd recommend it if you were looking for another souls game AFTER playing all the souls games, sekiro, elden ring and lies of P.

If you have a grand strategy map painting addiction like me- wait until the whole thing + all dlc is like 15$ on humble bundle- it happens bi-yearly

Actually incredible what they achieved in this standalone expansion/mod of half life 2.

The writing/story and voice acting is all fantastic, the level design is as good as the original games and I cannot express enough how much better this random shoestring 'budget' mod/expansion is than multiple AAA FPS shooters in this day and age, despite it being built upon a skeleton over a decade old.

I prefer vanilla since it gives you all the dlc access keys, a bunch of unobtainable items and just has better enemy + item placement in general imo.
