It's been three hours and I've already fallen deeply in love with Lorraine. Lorraine's the car. She waves at me and gives me little hearts. Best game ever. Might run away with her.

As a veteran player of the game, I have clearly dumped thousands of hours from my life, and probably several hundred dollars over the years into this game. I was playing all the way back when planes were the only vehicle type. I saw ground units begin with the introduction of Russian and Germany before sprawling into every nation. I saw the naval testing being done on April Fool's with wooden sailing ships. I have been with this game for very nearly its entirety.

To say it has fallen from grace would be far too simple (as well as far too kind) an explanation. From showing contempt and a complete disconnect from the community that has been growing around the game, to the quite obviously predatory marketing and monetization practices. It would seem to have finally reached a breaking point in the community. An overwhelming majority of the player-base is finally coming out about what the game really is.

I will discuss ground mechanics as that is where I flourish. It must be said that the first issue any player upon playing this game will come into will be a complete and utter lack of generosity from the game. It has been said by the community for many years at this point that the ability to repair a vehicle in combat, or even extinguish a fire, should not be a grinding opportunity. To repair critical systems such as the barrel or breech is impossible without grinding for it. To put a fire out is also impossible without grinding for that capability.

Now, one may say that they did something about that. They lowered the costs of them, and made parts the first researched part of a vehicle. They even allow other players to repair and extinguish you. But that fails to mention that there was a substantial amount of time (approx. 2 months) where the ability to put out the fire of another vehicle was simply broken. That alone should show you how very little the Snail will care about you. That they put in a mechanic to help, and upon learning it was broken, decided to not correct it for an extended time. It is also a form of, "Create a problem, sell the solution."

The grind will never be over. You will never have every vehicle you want. There is no amount of grinding a human is capable of that will get you every vehicle in the game. Even if you use a premium account and blast premium vehicles out in every match, you will not even come close. The grind is capable of taking over your life, your time, and your wallet.

The higher tiers of the game are especially horrific when it comes to the player-base and matchmaking. A large amount of people will buy a top-tier vehicle, die in that vehicle, and leave the match. This is extremely toxic behavior, yet it is not only allowed, it is encouraged if you want to make the most profit possible in as short a time possible.

Along with all of this, there are many forgotten, half-assed, and unused mechanics within the game. Bombers received "placeholder" cockpits nearly five years ago, and you can easily count on a single hand how many of those temporary cockpits were ever replaced with an actual, fully modeled cockpit. Something they are so proud of. There are tanks with add-on armor, but very few. This was supposed to be a module for a large amount of vehicles, but they gave up. Premium vehicles are often modeled better than free vehicles.

Armor is modeled preferentially to premium vehicles, as it is not only more detailed, but it also has completely armor-modeled suspension and track elements that a free vehicle would not. Premium vehicles also get preferential matchmaking to boot. This is easily seen in a vehicle known as the KV-220. A vehicle that is so terrifying to see where it sits on the scale, that it alone is capable of winning against an entire team by itself. Despite Gaijin claiming they adjust the matchmaking of vehicles based on how they do in battle, it is a curiosity as to why they have yet to do anything about this vehicle. Even as it consistently destroys tens of your allies.

These are a few of the problems. not even a comprehensive. Naval is dead on arrival and simply not fun in any measure. Aircraft can be horribly balanced, and tanks seem to be a second thought in their own game-mode when it comes to close-air-support. I cannot possibly recommend this to a new player. I will likely continue this abusive relationship with the Russian Snail, but only because it has taken a large amount of my money, and I won't let it take any more. But I will suck up your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Russian bandwidth.

EDIT: They have since essentially fixed all of my issues with the economy. They've also allowed a free use of the fire extinguisher even if you don't have it unlocked. Time to wake up Gaijin, and realize we do genuinely love the game. We just need you to love it as much as we do.

I love this game, and for many reasons. I find it to be quite calm and exceptionally satisfying. Seeing your melting pot get absolutely overflowed with hundreds of gold nuggets is absolutely lovely. Buying building materials and getting a small home made is just fantastic. Finding the rare gems, selling those gems, getting all the money you need to finally automate some of the processing is made so much better when you are also the one creating that machinery. Beyond that, the visual style is quite chill. I love the vehicle designs, I enjoy the music, I really enjoy the game. Not that buggy (Some may be found, but tend to be harmless).
I absolutely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys starting small, and with great effort and time (But not overly time-wasting) and creating a super satisfying operation.

As an aside, I have 17hrs on the full game, but I had about 24hrs in the demo. This game is very fun! I'd have to say that the single best feature in the game is auto-pilot. It makes super tedious driving not your problem anymore. I especially love auto-pilot when it comes to hauling a 20,000kg shipping container up a massively long and winding mountain road.
There's lots of customization as well. I am fairly positive that this will only get better with time. I just bought my first house and a Toyota Supra. I dumped a lot of money into that car, and it flies now. I really hope that development continues all the way to release, and even further beyond. If you wanna be a cop, an ambulance driver, a bus driver, a taxi driver, a truck driver, you can do all that and more within this beautiful and perfectly optimized game.

I enjoy this game when I wanna calm down after other games, or when I wanna put my attention on a video while still feeling somewhat productive. Some people seem to experience game-breaking bugs, but I have yet to encounter anything of the sort. It's been quite fun!
Especially with the free trimmer update, it feels more thought out. I quite enjoy using my trimmer to clean out areas around trees, structures, or other obstacles. I'll certainly be buying the DLC when I get the scratch. My experience has been mostly bug free. I say mostly because the recent trimmers that have been added seem to have an audio issue where they don't respond to audio settings. I've reported it through their website and we'll see if it gets fixed.

I've been enjoying the game. It's rough around the edges, but it's pretty fun for how ambitious it seems. The character models aren't the prettiest, and the sound effects can be annoying. But it's a fun game in my opinion. Crushing cars, finding scrap, refurbishing items. I really enjoy the scrap system for cars. At least give the game a try, you can always get a refund.

UPDATE: I just bought the Crusher and I'm ready to kill God.

I have been waiting for TMS to come out since the beginning of last year. And I have to say, while it is a bit buggeir, glitchier, and a bit less polished than I expected, it's still a great game that can give you hours of enjoyment. In my short time of playing, I was able to fully grasp the controls, the game mechanics, and everything else. The tutorial is nice and actually pays quite well, the game runs just fine on my set up, and I still have a lot to do. My first complaint is the minor bugs here and there. Some tanks (Like the M10 Wolverine) have parts that you cannot buy off the shop. The workaround this is simple, in the tank condition tab in the radial menu (the top one), when you get to the window that shows all the various conditions of the tank parts, select "Buy all missing parts" and all the parts missing will be bought.
Another glitch I experienced on the Stug III was that it wouldn't accept some parts, like two lockers and a track on the front. Doing the same "Buy all missing parts" technique works and fixes this. I have personally yet to experience a crash or a saving error. Another issue is one that I have with a particular tank, the KV-2. A lot of the parts (internally) don't come out. Like boxes, ammo storage, and other things that are removable from other tanks do not come off of this one in particular. I would like to see that changed. But, some stuff they did really good on was the "Proving Grounds".
The "Proving Grounds" is where you can take your tank to test fire its armaments. The guns sound lovely and accurate (as far as I can tell), and the different views inside the tank really add to the immersion. The shooting is realistic with shell drop and ricochets, but they aren't perfect. I find the "Test Drive" track to be a bit lack luster however. It is lacking and is just a small oval with different terrains. The tanks are very nicely detailed and have many parts. It's very satisfying to find, repair, and drive these vehicles. I recommend this game if you're a military activist, enjoy WWII vehicles, enjoy mechanic games, or anything of the sort.

It's a fun game. Lots of fun to be had. If you can afford it all. Let's start with vehicle prices. They are absolutely absurd. There are very few cars that sell for less than 100k. At least any cars of any value. Everything is exploded in price to where it is extremely time consuming to get even a single vehicle. They even have the laughably expensive and useless "Deluxe" versions of the Luxor and Volito. $10,000,000 for the Luxor. A jet plane with absolutely no money making worth. Now let's move on to the griefing.
It's hell. Absolute hell. People grief in a variety of aerial vehicles, and GTA claims to give you the tools to effectively combat them. They have things like the half-track, armed with quad 20mm cannons. It can take quite a few explosives before dying out, but it is absolutely worthless as an AA vehicle. The guns cannot aim up whatsoever and planes just have to divebomb you repeatedly to kill you, and there is nothing you can do about it. Want to angle yourself upon an incline to get better view? Nope. The guns are world locked and not vehicle locked. Also, terribly slow, will not catch any aerial vehicle. Then there's the Chernobog. Again, completely and utterly useless. This time, they claim to give you missiles that compensate with range. I call BS. Again, world locked, so you can't use a hill to help. This vehicle has terrible gun elevation, allowing for easy dive bomb attacks. And it's so slow that you won't catch even the slowest helicopters. Finally on my list in the Anti-Aircraft Trailer. What a waste of a good million or so dollars. Completely and utterly useless, as its range is less than 1,000ft and it cannot aim up at all. Again, world locked. You can attach it to faster trucks, but it is still completely and utterly useless. Fly even a foot above sea level and this thing won't be able to hit you. Also blows up in a single explosion, rendering it pretty much useless. That's my rant. Griefers buy the expensive aircraft and use it against any and all opponents, with complete superiority over anyone with any vehicle they try to use against them. ♥♥♥♥ this game. It is terrible. Only play it if you want a hangout with friends, and don't even try to buy anything cool. Find a car off the streets and use that. Good as anything else.

Being an edit to my own review after an extra 400hrs from my original review, I have to say. This isn't even the same game. It's leagues above what it once was, and has never been better. Still lots of bugs, but there's so much to do, so much to see, so much to experience. You gotta love the redemption arch.
