Ok, so this is the story of me playing Foxhole for the first time. I bought the game at the end of 2019, choose Wardens, spawned at the home island and did the bad tutorial. After that I spawned in Fisherman’s Row at the Frontline, I still had no idea what to do so I joined FOD (Foxhole Official Discord) and found a nice Player (don’t remember his name), that explained the game to me. After fighting for a while in the meatgrinder, the Colonials decided to show up with some tanks to push us back. This was a problem because we had none of our own and sticky grenades were running low, so we decided to do some logi and get more stickies to the front. But because we found none nearby, we decided to blow ourselves up and respawn at the backline. At the backline we met another new player and decided we might as well build a tank with three players. After scrooping components for a few hours, we finally enough, just to wait another hour for the components to be refined. Then we built the tank, only for the Logi Vets to tell us that we needed Petrol to drive a tank. After they helped us get our now immobile Tank from the road, my fellow comrades went out to find some crude oil to refine into petrol and left me to guard the tank. After another one and a half hour we finally had petrol and a bunch of shells that the Logi people gave us. We were ready for an epic tank battle, but the frontline in Fisherman’s had moved on, so we asked some other people on FOD where a tank was needed, they told us that we should head to some place in deadlands, where they would be waiting for us. They were indeed waiting for us, in a collie safehouse with AT Rifles, turns out they had been Collies waiting to ambush us. Our inexperienced tank crew got obliterated in a few seconds, before even realizing what was going on. After that we parted ways and I logged off because I had played through the entire night (that wouldn’t be last time), despite this all seeming like a waste of time it was a lot of fun.
So yeah, that was my first-time playing Foxhole and immediately becoming a Warden Loyalist, because of some treacherous Goblins. I met a lot of nice people while playing the game, yeah there were some idiots, but you have that in every MP game. As long as you don’t take the game to seriously you will have fun.
