I'm saying this off the rip for transparency, I am refunding this game.

Theres nothing wrong with it! I just don't personally care for it. I think its really neat and the gridless build nature of the game is also really cool. I just cannot PERSONALLY justify keeping it for the price it is compared to how fun it is for me

Newest and final review: sony didnt actually back down from what they said they were going to do, plus the game handles like liquid dog ass now.

We had a good thing, you stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! We had Cyberstan. We had a Superdestroyer. We had everything we needed, and it all ran like clockwork. You could've shut your mouth, cooked and made as much money as you ever needed. It was perfect. But, no, you just had to blow it up. You and your pride and your ego! You just had to be the man. If you'd done your job, known your place, we'd all be fine right now.

Recommended: Yes

I think this game is legitimately the best game released in about 10 years. No woke ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, no 49%ers, no turbo commies, no anitwhite rhetoric. just bug killing. just bot killing. just fighting for democracy with the boys.

They keep rolling out updates to the game, like they did today, and they keep breaking EVERYTHING as a result. I'm trying to cozy max with my load order i spent weeks curating and its all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gone now. ♥♥♥♥ you Todd, ♥♥♥♥ your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little space game, and your tiny hat.

To play this game is to accept an ever present feeling of doing something wrong. Not wrong in the sense that you aren't going about something in an incorrect fashion. No, it's a sense that you are doing something wrong. It's almost as if crawling through the dungeon of Fear and Hunger is itself a sin, no, as if it IS sin itself.

EDIT: Refunding the game. I literally just spawn and die regardless of where I spawn, including far from the front line.

In addition there is a really weird bug where upon ACTUALLY joining a server, it kicks me straight to a unit CREATION screen, upon which my only means of exit is to exit the server, and attempt to rejoin, usually another server. Game, in my opinion, is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess.


im going to be completely honest i will still try and play more, maybe it will get better, but first 30 minutes of the game were attrocious.

Pros: It runs EXTREMELY well on ♥♥♥♥ hardware

Cons: max 6 queue. anymore you cant queue a server period. never heard of a single game that does this
Punishingly long respawns. I'm talking almost a full minute.
Instanteous death regardless of spawn. Artillery/infantry/vics doesn't matter theyre on the spawns constantly and i mean as soon as you wait your minute spawn timer you're already dead.

I'll defintely update this review as i log more hours, because again. 30 minute review.

I love squad, and i love what OWI does, but i feel that this and the other emote packs are the start of a very dangerous path for the game. As this pack is free, grab it. I do not and will never recommend ANY micro transaction in a game I love because they harm user experience in the long term.

It's okay. I was a negative review over denuvo, but after this most recent update (the one that adds guilds) the game no longer runs like liquid ass

TL;DR go to SteamLibrary\steamapps and look for a file called appmanifest_377160.acf and mark it as READ ONLY so you can be safe from immoral updates from Todd Howard




Bethesda seems to have this issue where they want to randomly update games that don't need updates. This review is being changed in light of this "next gen update" that really only positively affects console players while setting back PC players.


Fallout London is an upcoming mod that has a large amount of content, as an example. The devs for it have actually been in communication with Bethesda regarding its development. This update was never brought up to the dev team and is actually setting their work back by at least a year, and its just to capitalize off of the shows success. I like the show. I like bethesda games (not you starfield, you can crawl in a hole and die), but what I don't like is how bethesda only updates their games when it comes at the expense of their fans goodwill, which they are hemorrhaging faster than blood from a man whos legs where blown off.
