Like an episode of TNG.

This is just like playing the pen and paper game, but in a more streamlined and immersive format. And it's a great deal.

Seemed a bit hard and axiety inducing at first, but once you get some power-ups you don't die as much.

Fun game, and well done overall. However, it is so buggy that I had to check whether it is Early Access (it is sadly, not).
If they could address these bugs it would go from good to great.
Bugs:
1. No way to turn off certain powers. (Ex., deactivate the thrown axe grapple. The game says I should be able to, but can't)
2. Incomplete controller support (you can activate some functions, but need to complete the action with mouse+keyboard).
3. Some interface elements don't display correctly. You have to tweak the UI size frequently.
4. Followers get stuck in the environment frequently.
5. Followers sometimes fail to shoot, like when they get stuck. (Happened to my wizards a lot).

Overall it would benefit with a big dose of polish.

This is a great addition to my library. I never played to much of the original adventures, but I have played other point and click series like Space Quest, Indiana Jones, and Leisure Suit Larry. I thought this was pretty faithful to the feel of those games, though markedly simpler (which as a busy adult, I welcome).

The voice acting is top notch, but for the love of Daventry, please allow us to skip/Fast Fwd it!

The control scheme took a lot of getting used to, and was too fiddly and at times buggy for me to feel that it worked well. I also didn't appreciate the campaign mode being locked at the outset, and having to level up my team.

Played the Steam free weekend and enjoyed this very much. I regret not purchasing it for the discounted price when I had the chance.
