"And they saw in that last nanosecond, they saw what they were, that you, yourself, this whole big drama, it was never anything but a jerry-rig of presumption and dumb will. And you could just let go. Finally know that you didn't have to hold on so tight. To realize that all your life—you know, all your love, all your hate, all your memory, all your pain—it was all the same thing. It was all the same dream. A dream that you had inside a locked room. A dream about being a person… And like a lot of dreams there's a monster at the end of it."

NeiR: Automata

This game is, in my full opinion, is one of the best I have ever played.
Now I know what you're thinking, "Oh, but wouldn't ya say this for every review?" No. God, no, not compared to this. The OST alone is what made me turn off any other music going on just so I could take it in. Playing this was such a breath of fresh air for me, it's the perfect game to just close your eyes, take a deep breath and listen after a war waged in clashing metal. The game play is smooth and fluent compared to most games. I've very rarely gotten hiccups and only crashed once for unknown reasoning. But that was after I beat it once. The hardest boss in this game? That's easy.. Feels.

The graphics are stunning enough to look around say "Wow.." Though, personally, after fighting a certain boss the gray color that looms over the city is a little upsetting. I liked the bright atmosphere around it. But I understand the city would probably have dust floating around all the time after what happened.

There are a lot of different kinds of weapons (But all are branched into a few categories of thing such as: Small Sword, Large Sword, Polearm and another I've totally forgotten the name of. But you can mesh combos together with all of these weapons very nicely and upgrade them to make them deal more damage.

Okay, see, now i have to address the thing everyone does.. :P The booty. Now, yes, there is quite a lot of fan service regarding 2B, (Or not 2B? Sorrysorrysorry) but it's possible to look past it. It's not like the game is forcing you to watch her butt move. But, ah, be careful about that self-destruct button. You'll see a closer look at said booty if you use it.

Final notes on the game.. You should play it at least three times. Beating it once just won't do. You'll miss out on everything more to come. The OST is something I will never forget. That's how good it sounds. (To me, at least. I suppose it isn't everyone's cup of tea, y'know?)

Overall, after how it made me feel and how smooth the combat was, with it's kickbutt OST and it's story in general, once you piece it all together and it just clicks.. I have to give this the unironic 10/10. This receives my highest seal of a approval. From me, a sincere and truest thank you to everyone who created this wonderful game. That's all from me, folks. Stay tuned for upcoming reviews. :)

A kindred spirit. A force to be reckoned with. And a man I'm glad to call my Brother. :8bitheart:
