Split Fiction is without a doubt one of the best co-op games I have ever played. Fun and creative action and puzzles, buttery smooth performance, great visuals, decent albeit predictable story and you only need one copy to play with your partner. My only minor gripe is that I wished this game was a little bit longer (maybe 1-2 more levels?), that's not to say this game is short though.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a game that aspires to realism and they've done an admirable job of hitting that goal. You have to eat and sleep. Wearing armor and how you wear it actually matters a lot. Combat is kind of janky, but once you get the hang of it, destroying groups of enemies is very satisfying to do. The story was not amazing, but enough to keep me going. Some of the voice acting was a bit questionable though. All-in-all, a decent game, even in 2025.

This type of game isn't usually my cup of tea, but there's something very satisfying about building a production line, having a new idea, tearing it all down and then having a more optimized production line. Very fun with friends, probably wouldn't play this solo though.

Dragon Age: Veilguard is a mixed bag. On one hand, the game looks and plays great, scenery and lighting are fantastic and the game is definitely optimized when it comes to performance. The combat is flashy and fun, albeit a bit easy if you know what you are doing.

When it comes to the characters and the story however, the picture is quite grim. The first and last acts of the game are alright, but the middle act feels padded and drawn out, which is probably what caused me to take breaks and not play the game for up to a week at a time. What's worse though is the writing's teams many retcons of story elements established by previous Dragon Age games, often in a baffling or outright comical fashion.

All in all, it's a pretty fun game if you are willing to push through the boring parts, ignore the contrived retcons and are willing to be condescendingly lectured to by the writing team about a certain companion's identity.

If you have two or three friends that you can rely on in hectic situations, GTFO is a heck of a lot of fun. Plenty of tense moments requiring teamwork and split-second decisions to make this game interesting. You will die... a lot... but when you start to learn the mechanics of the game and your plans start coming together, completing a rundown is super satisfying.

I don't have a strong history of playing 3D fighting games, in fact I prefer 2D fighting games (like Street Fighter 6.) Having said that, this game does a great job teaching you the basics of the game and easing you into the world of Tekken with its story mode and Arcade Quest. The game looks amazing and plays well, netcode is pretty solid too. Tekken 8 is a great game with lots of discover and enjoy. The music is amazing.

Edit on April 10th, 2024:

Bandai-Namco decided to attack their most die-hard fans. They are punishing modders by sending them cease-and-desist letters and getting their youtube channels (their livelihoods) banned. In addition to this, Bandai-Namco added a battle pass and lazy DLC costumes after release. This is unacceptable behavior and I can't in good conscience support these practices. The core game was great, it's shame that greed and shortsightedness ruined it.

Medieval Dynasty is a combination of crafting-survival as well as base and base and resource management with its various NPCs that you can recruit and put to work in your town. I'm a bit conflicted about this game, on one hand it's nice that the developers attempted to mix two different types of gameplay into one game, on the other hand, I feel this game is rather shallow as a result. It's by no means a bad game, but I feel there's definitely better games of this type out there.

Early Access Review
Palworld is what you get when you combine a crafting-survival game with Pokémon and Breath of the Wild. It's not quite as deep as either of those games, but it is deep enough to still be fun. I recommend playing this with at least one other person. Unfortunately, there's very little story to the game, but there is a lot to explore, see and do.

A very well written, well crafted and well told horror visual novel style game that kept me thinking about the story and characters for days to come. Amazing hand drawn art and solid voice acting make Slay the Princess a must-play if you enjoy horrifying yet gripping stories.

This game is (as of writing of this review) pretty much -THE- definitive RoboCop experience. The developers managed to capture the essence and feel of the RoboCop world and have solid gameplay and an interesting story to tie it all together. Peter Weller, the actor from the first two RoboCop movies, reprising his role as Alex Murphy is a very nice bonus.

If you are a RoboCop fan (like me), then this is a must-play.
