I’ve been a longtime fan of the Supreme Ruler series, but 2030 has some serious issues that make it hard to fully enjoy especially with friends.

The biggest problem for me is the multiplayer desync. It happens far too often and can completely break the experience. Whether it’s units not syncing or economies falling apart between players, it makes cooperative play incredibly frustrating. For a game this focused on global strategy, that kind of instability is a dealbreaker.

Another letdown is the UI, which just isn’t as clear or easy to navigate as it was in Supreme Ruler Ultimate.

And then there’s the lack of a proper Cold War start, which feels like a major missed opportunity. That era was a huge part of the appeal in Ultimate for me, and it’s disappointing to see it left out here.

There’s definitely potential in 2030, and I want to love it, but right now it’s hard not to feel let down. The pace of fixes is too slow, and despite the new additions and improvements, it just doesn’t feel as complete or polished as Ultimate yet.

The game that started it all. Only for the trilogy to end in disappointment. Warhammer I and especially II are the best versions. Maybe one day Warhammer III can continue this legacy set by these two legendary games.

Warhammer II is truly the pinnacle of the Warhammer trilogy. Unfortunately, I wanted Warhammer III to carry this legacy into the future. As much I want to enjoy Warhammer III it just isn’t as good as this game. Warhammer changed Total War forever and Warhammer II took it 10 levels up! Warhammer III takes 1 step forward, but two steps back. I can easily recommend Warhammer I and II solely for just the Chaos Invasion event being present, but I simply can’t recommend Warhammer III as they removed it. It’s not just that though!!! Warhammer II has superior pathing compared to the third game. The AI might be slightly better compared to Warhammer II, but that alone isn’t enough. Overall, Warhammer II is the best of the trilogy and should be in any Warhammer or Total War fan’s library. Warhammer I could be even appreciated! However, Warhammer III isn’t close to being the successor upgrade quite yet to Warhammer II.

Simply the best WWII grand strategy game ever made.

Very good remaster of the original game. Some rough bumps here and there, but overall a great game. I would very much like to see the same done for Total War: Medieval II in the future.

Overall the game looks insanely beautiful compared to the original. The animations, character models, and the smaller details are next level. Definitely impressive especially since the game runs as well if not better than Evolved. However, the game is very buggy, incomplete, and lacks consistency in areas. It can be a fantastic experience or just a complete mess of a game. Crashes can be very frequent and difficult to solve. I myself currently have an issue with the in-game hud stuttering/glitching making it difficult to see properly. It’s manageable, but it’s been the case since the game released. I believe it has something to do with the Frame Generation setting being enabled, but I’ve disabled it and still have the issue. Regardless this game relies heavily on Nvidia DLSS to be playable really. If you don’t have a 40 series GPU you will probably have an even more difficult time playing this game at its near full potential as Frame Generation and next gen DLSS is only assessable with those GPUs.

I love ARK and really hope this game will continue getting the support it needs to become truly the definitive version of the original game. Currently however the game still has a ways to go and a decent bit of the games original released content is still work in progress and or hasn’t been brought back yet. I still recommend the game, but tread carefully here!

Great continued support over the years! Still would like to see more updates going forward, but overall a good game.
