Vampire Crack

Biggest surprise of the year for me and probably one of the best licensed soundtracks ever.

Best facial animation outside of the UE5 Matrix demo.

It's like the film. You swore to yourself it was going to be ♥♥♥♥ but in the end you loved it.

If you want a vast open world with nuanced mechanics and hundreds of hours of gameplay go and buy RDR2.

If you want to feel like you're in a movie and shoot lazers while sliding on your knees and listening to Mötley Crüe then you're in the right place.

One of the best platformers I've ever played and certainly one of the best co-op experiences out there.

Don't be misled by my Steam hours, I probably have 2000 hours between 2.79 and 2.93, and I'm still average.

Honestly really good. Amazing art direction, animation and cracking sound. Like being in a Tim Burton film.

If you enjoyed anything about the first game you'll love it. It's a bit more 'gamey' as well. I just wish it had a few more levels that really ramped the difficulty.

I think this is a slightly flawed masterpiece. I'm about 6 hours in and I can already tell it's one of my fave games of the year.

It's not for everyone. It's a pretty deep, psychological sci-fi horror. It certainly won't satisfy the die hard shooter fans (at least not right away).

There are a few things that feel tacked on in late production (not impressed with vehicles so far and would have left them out completely) but the rest is a perfect balance of bizarre and unsettling, with some experimental mechanics. It's just seething with atmosphere. You'll want to savour every breath that Sam takes.

It's given me that rare feeling that I'm playing something totally fresh and experimental. Kind of how Outer Wilds made me feel.

Some of the online aspects are interesting. Some rather prophetic real world parallels in there, too.

(I'll prob update and add to this review, cause right now all I want to do is jump back into Sam's crazy world and play more).

I thought this was a game about Gunge. It's not.
