This game has some of the dumbest combat I've seen in a long while. It's honestly painful to see. You spend most of your time running around non-stop, shooting around non-stop, using the commands to send your allies on cooldown to do the job for you. Just when you think it couldn't be any worse or less engaging, they come up with the huddle mechanic, which interrupts the combat sequence while you get a meaningless choice between two lame pseudo pep-talks to give your team as they gather around you and start arguing.

Of course the game has arguments going for it. It looks beautiful, has fantastic retro music, and the banter between the characters can be funny and pleasant when it doesn't turn to cringey. The general tone and atmosphere of the game could have been engaging if they hadn't chosen to go for a constant hectic activity on a par with the combat, with characters constantly shouting and being over-excited while you're running and shooting and running and shooting like a headless chicken with two automatic guns, while things fall and crash and explode around you.

I could only play for very short sessions before being overwhelmed by the need to go outside, sit in the grass and look at the clouds while picking daisies, just to give my brain some release from this flarking game.

if ever you find the "d3d12 adapter is not running" problem, go to properties, go to launch options, type -sharedvram

Overview:
it`s one of the games that feels let you down with too linear and simple gameplay!
QTE events are just horrific!
Honestly, really wanted to thumb down it, but it outstands and outperforms a lot of other titles :3

The BIGGEST positiveness are Marvellous characters with their unique traits and dialogues, funny jokes and moments that impact on healthy ambiance and make it feel alive and interactive, so that` was well done!

Also a major point is dynamic game-play adjustments, more or less spike to add.
Whenever you have a chance, getting it for free or not - have a look at it and take a bite! :)
