Is Borderlands 4 worth it?

Fun? Yes.
Optimized? Absolutely not.
Playable? Barely.

RTX 5090 dips under 30 FPS in heavy fights. VRAM usage skyrockets, frame pacing is a mess, and DLSS feels mandatory just to stay above water.

Good game buried under terrible performance. Feels like I’m beta testing instead of playing!

to God of War: Ragnarok Dev. Team,

I’m writing to bring to your attention an issue regarding the current PC port of God of War: Ragnarok that affects users with 4GB VRAM graphics cards. When attempting to launch the game on such systems, an error message is displayed, indicating that there is not enough VRAM, and the game closes without allowing users to proceed. It is my humble request to kindly reconsider or remove this VRAM limitation. From personal experience and community feedback, I can confirm that the game runs well on certain integrated graphics processors (such as the Ryzen 3 3200G, Ryzen 5 3400G, and Ryzen 7 5700G), which are generally weaker than many 4GB VRAM GPUs available today. God of War: Ragnarok performs on the base PlayStation 4, which further suggests that the game should be capable of running on 4GB VRAM graphics cards, and the latest Steam Hardware Survey shows that one of the most widely used graphics cards among gamers is the GTX 1650, which comes with 4GB of VRAM and is ranked within the top three most popular cards. Limiting access to such a significant portion of the player base can potentially prevent many from enjoying your incredible game. Removing or adjusting this VRAM limitation would greatly benefit the gaming community, ensuring that a larger audience can experience God of War: Ragnarok on PC!

EDIT : there’s a workaround and you can bypass this VRAM limit error by using a mod. ( MOD LINK : https://www.nexusmods.com/godofwarragnarok/mods/12?tab=files ) To install it, just drag and drop the files into the game's root folder, and the game should launch without any issues. It's unclear why Jetpack Interactive locked out 4GB VRAM cards, especially since the game runs just fine on them!

Hellblade 2 delivers a jaw-dropping experience that will leave you craving for more. It stands as one of the best-looking Unreal Engine 5 games to date. From the facial expressions to the environmental details and character models, everything is meticulously crafted. The combat is incredibly satisfying, offering a cinematic, movie-like experience.

While the game doesn't grant full freedom to your character, this design choice aligns with its aim to provide a cinematic experience. Some players might find this restrictive, but it’s essential to appreciate the game in the context intended by the developers.

Available on PC Game Pass from day one, there’s no complaint about the price. However, the game’s poor optimization is a drawback. Despite this, I've managed to create optimized settings for Hellblade 2 that provide 99% close to ultra-quality graphics with significantly better performance. Feel free to use my optimized settings!

Optimized settings for Hellblade 2 : https://youtu.be/_GvNk_KSM9o

Alone in the Dark Remake is a bit of a mixed bag. The story is kind of interesting, and the puzzles are enjoyable to figure out. However, the way you play the game feels outdated or old-fashioned; the movements and animations of the characters seem choppy, which can break the immersion. The graphics are decent, and they don't really stand out, but if you like a good story and challenging puzzles, you might still find it worth playing despite its flaws. Overall, it's a classic horror experience!

The game simply doesn't have much to offer. The world is empty; there is nothing to do except run around for miles between quests and kill different types of enemies. although the combat is good but not satisfactory. If you're planning to get this game, then grab it while it's on sale; don't pay the full price!

next-gen gaming starter pack,
- same or even worse graphics fidelity than old-gen games!
- abysmal optimization that requires RTX 4090 minimum & still can't hit 60fps!
- a $70-$90 price tag for a mid and unfinished games!
- apology statement after releasing games in a broken state!
- after months of patching, nothing improves!

Star Wars Stutters: Survivor!

- shader compilation stutters every time something new happens on screen!
- awful performance that cannot be improved through any settings changes!
- no DLSS support, only FSR that looks awful with alot of shimmering!
- ray tracing option is useless; gives micro stutters every seconds!

The people who are thinking that Respawn can fix this game with patch updates are daydreaming. forgot Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order? The stuttering issue is still present to this day, and they can't fix it, and it's been 5 years! One more terrible PC port is added to 2023's worst optimised games list!
