Good old fashioned fun. Beat up bandits and collect loot. Take prisoners, make friends, eventually you can join the nobility.

The single player is relaxing for the most part. It's nice to just go bandit hunting after coming home from work.

It has lots of mods, many of them are total game conversions. I haven't even dipped a toe into those yet. This will keep you entertained for years. It's worth full price and right now you can buy it for $2. That's insane.

Villagers won't do anything and can't build anything. Game is a pointless waste of time.

Dwarf Fortress is more intuitive than this hot mess.

I can't finish act 1 because my character somehow turned into a criminal despite me never committing a crime. I watched a tiefling boy get slapped by an NPC for stealing a locket, and then I came to his defense and persuaded the guard to let him go with a warning. Thought I did a good thing.

Mol, who is the ring-leader of the tiefling boys decides he hates me because I watched his friend get slapped. So despite the fact that I met him in his hideout, and apologized, and agreed to leave his gang alone, he spread rumors that I am threatening children.

Insane tiefling guard murder-hobos are now out looking for me and when I meet them they trigger this dialog:

1. Pass a DC 20 deception check (ridiculous to begin with, and passing it doesn't change your criminal record)
2. Go to prison (forever because there is no way to clear your criminal record)
3. Kill the guards - and the entire village because all the villagers will aggro you now

Do you see how insane this is? You can pass the DC 20 deception check or sneak out of prison, but the next time these murder-hobo guards see you, the same dialog triggers again. So you either have to keep passing DC 20 deception checks, or you have to keep sneaking out of prison.

The fact that I didn't do anything an Mol is a liar apparently means nothing. I am now on Faerun's most wanted list and failing DC 20 checks and going to prison is now my future. There's no changing it.

This is so incredibly broken I don't know how it left the beta like this. Why is there no way to confront a guard about my crimes? Why is Mol allowed to lie like this? Why can't I pay a fine to restore my good name? Why can't I sleep off my time in prison and walk out with a clear name?

The Elder Scrolls series has had a functional criminal justice system for like 20 years now, but Baldur's Gate 3, which is being acclaimed as the greatest RPG of its time, doesn't?

This is crap. This game is broken crap. No this isn't the greatest RPG of its time. It's not even a great RPG. If they did manage to fix the bugs, it would be mediocre at best.

The critics need to check their hype, and the devs need to fix this hot mess of bugs.

I bought this game with high expectations seeing as it was awarded with "game of the decade" and a massive pile of positive reviews. So I'm shocked the game is such a massive disappointment.

I love open world RPG's. I've put thousands of hours into various RPG's like Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, Golden Sun. I've played many MMORPG's and was even able to find nice things to say about New World.

This game? I don't see even one redeeming value. Everything about it is made deliberately obtuse and frustrating. Controlling the character is clunky. Picking up items is clunky. Combat is clunky. It has the worse lockpicking minigame I've ever seen. Say the wrong thing to an NPC and he will decide to hate you. Everything from talking, to looting, to swinging your sword is made as frustrating as possible. The UI is just deliberately bad, and for some reason a fanbase has grown up around it that takes pride in their ability to navigate the horrid UI so they can reach the RPG underneath it.

I can't. I expect a polished UI and smooth control over my character. I expect minigames that don't frustrate me. I enjoyed playing the Souls series of games and remember how punishing my first few minutes of Demon's Souls was. But I recognized that every death was my fault and I learned to do better.

From what I can tell the combat in Kingdom Come; Deliverance is more RNG than skill. Yes you can pick the direction to swing your sword. I don't fault that. Several other games use a similar mechanic. What I do fault is the clunkiness of character movement which delays every action you take. Henry doesn't swing his sword when you click the attack button. He swings a second afterward. Like he's submerged in molasses. Between the time you click and the time he actually attacks, the person you're fighting may have backed up, dodged to the side, raised their shield, or stabbed you in the face. The most effective combat strategy you can do is just to mash buttons and hope for the best.

And then we get to the save system. You can't save anytime you want. You need an item to save your game and they are in limited supply. Because on top of all the other layers of frustration, they also needed a frustrating save system. This completes the turd sandwich.

Game of the decade? No. Any other game any other month of those 10 years was better than this.

The early game quests are horrid. If you miss getting the free lockpicks, you're screwed. If you miss getting free money from the right NPC's, you're screwed. You lose reputation if you say the wrong things. The combat system is deliberately clunky and frustrating.

Game of the decade? This must have been the only game produced in the Czech Republic that decade. Of course it wins if there are no other contenders.

I love open world RPG's. I hate this one because this one sucks.

A very enjoyable visual novel. I don't play many VN's but this one is a quality product. The characters are well animated, it has full voice-overs, and the story is actually engrossing and enjoyable. It also has a good length for it's price, especially if you can get it on sale. It took up my afternoon game time for about 3 days to finish my play-through.

I would buy a sequel, and will be looking for other VN's from this publisher.

Absolutely terrible puzzler. The puzzles are either too simple, or they rely on gimmicks like positioning a drone in exactly the right hair's length to remotely trigger a switch, or stupid crap like hiding an energy orb on the ceiling.

If you need hide and seek mechanics to make your puzzles harder, you aren't good at making puzzles.

Nice idea but bad implementation. It's too hard to make money. I reached 40 years old and still couldn't invest in anything at the market. I think I need to unlock the economic advisor but he costs $800,000 and it took me until I was 40 years old to make a measly $150,000.

I'm pretty sure this dude could have made more than that in the same amount of time while working as a janitor. I might be doing something wrong, but there is no tutorial and the help menu is crap.

This isn't worth the sale price of $3, let alone the full price.
