I've played the game a little bit now and I think I've got a pretty reasonable view on it. The first two acts are exceptional, the reactivity in the world and the amount of choices really elevates this game over the majority of its contemporaries. Unfortunately, Act III's pacing is quite poor, leading to a strange juxtaposition of being possibly the most content filled act of them all and yet the one that felt the least enjoyable to me. The mystery of Act I is missing, and the awesome build up to the villain of Act II is replaced instead by what is essentially two dungeon bosses. The best boss fight in Act III is actually entirely optional, which makes the relatively lackluster finale for the main villains quite unfortunate.

That being said I think the game was overall an exceptional experience, with some bugs but enough content to justify the $60 price point and much more. Instead of the story being a backdrop for fun gameplay as was the case in Divinity Original Sin, the characters and their development is front and center for the entire game and a lot of fun to witness. I'd certainly recommend everyone give this game a try, you won't regret it.

One of the best and most underrated games ever made. Sid Meier's pirates allows you to choose a time period, a difficulty, and a specialization as you prepare to track down the man who brought your family to ruin and become the most notorious sailor on the seven seas. You can be a privateer, you can be a pirate, you can even be a merchant if you are so inclined. There is a huge variety of ships with their own strengths and weaknesses, an aging system that keeps you on the clock even if it isn't readily apparent, and a plethora of items to purchase from mysterious merchants across the world to help you make haste and live long.

Seriously recommend it to anyone considering this hidden gem!

I love games where I'm the bad guy, but I especially love games where I'm a justified bad guy. Lots of fun, apostles are unique and interesting (though their abilities aren't well explained at times.)

I wish that the story were longer, but overall I quite enjoy the game.

Hate the poop jokes. Love the game itself.

It's free, UI is pretty bad and the voice acting is laughable but the mechanics are good and it's fun with friends.

I played it for a little while and it was worth it. I paid around $1 per hour of entertainment which is alright I guess. It's cheaper than participating in real-world activities.

No, it's not Fallout: New Vegas

Yes, it's a great game.

One thing I have always found fascinating about gamers is that we all seem to be unhappy, no matter what we are given. Fallout 4 is a great example of exactly that! In this review section you can see people complaining that they used a voice actor (god forbid they try to add more personality to your character), you can see people complaining about the changes to power armor (how dare they make it easier to obtain and less of a headache to use, disgusting!), and even complaints about a "gutted" dialogue system (A.K.A they took away all of the pointless options).

Sure, New Vegas has its own sort of charm. In New Vegas you get detailed information about each faction from their leaders, and that's great, there is also an evil/good ending (depending on how you think a government should be). But there are quite a few great things about Fallout 4 that are almost constantly ignored because people can't be bothered to move on from the earlier stages of Fallout.

The combat is significantly better, power armor is less of a hassle, the graphics are good, the DLCs all add a significant chunk of content to the game and the story isn't half bad if you aren't busy plugging your ears and screaming about how much you hate the dialogue.

Maybe it's not the best Fallout game, but if you are new to the series and don't expect the devs to bend over backwards for you, you might really enjoy this game! Definitely worth all the money I paid for it.
