I would not say I disliked a one of them. Three of the games, and one in particular, I'm smitten with. The overall presentation is appealing and I love exploring these games.

I love how little handholding there is. Although I only just discovered that you can get basic controls in a popup, I was able to understand the rules to these games shortly after diving in. That alone gives me a feeling that I cannot say I get from any game, even the indie games that try to evoke this style often tack in SOME kind of tooltips and tutorialization which is absolutely unnecessary and robs the player of the basic human validation of being able to understand simple concepts.

Mediocre game now only worse due to adding Denuvo. Better to never ever buy a Bethesda published game... They'll only rip you off in the end.

An excellent recreation of miniature golf, complete with the frustrations. The courses are just fantastical enough to suit the mood and gameplay.

You can't go 20 feet in this game without finding some clever secret which makes you feel like a genius. I found secret after secret, thinking I am brilliant. I beat a hidden boss in a hidden level. I get an achievement. I'm thinking "oh boy this is going to be like 0.1% rare".

Cinematic and fun game packed with licensed music and humor. The gameplay is solid enough to traverse the story as you explore interesting alien worlds. The visuals are cutting edge with emotive characters, beautiful environments, and a plethora of well-implemented raytracing effects. The game excels is in the same way FMV games of the early 90s tried in vain, successfully replicating the Marvel movie experience in a video game.

Not a terrible game, but a bad PC version. There is a problem with freezing on even very high end PCs. VRR are not supported, and I never was able to get framerates higher than 60fps to work on my PC. Basically bad technical work.

The game is reasonably fun to play, but the tracks aren't great. The music sounds like something designed by someone without any training in music. The visuals a interesting, sort of a very-high poly version of what we actually got in the very early 90's.

First, a forewarning. While Cyberpunk 2077 is a very good game, you must have a high end PC as of 2020 (for me, an i9-9900k, a fast NVMe SSD, and a 3080) to be able to appreciate the visuals with good performance.

Of course, there's also lots of visual bugs, but as of the time of this review I have not experienced a single gameplay affecting bug nor have I experienced any crash. I've seen probably a half dozen T-poses, and a fair number of flickering objects or things that pop out of view when they shouldn't. But nothing that has hampered any element of gameplay.

The world is beautifully realized, delivering fully on a full 3D explorable world of the likes of Blade Runner, Back to the Future 2's future Hill Valley, and other 80's visions of the near future. The design is nearly impeccable. No name NPCs occasionally look far better than main characters of other contemporary games. It looks that amazing. It also poses absolutely cutting edge technology with raytraced reflections, shadows, and global illumination simultaneously.

However, the depth of the world experience isn't equal to other, smaller-scoped games. You won't find a lot of interesting, worthwhile secrets. You won't find mini games. The arcade units sitting around aren't playable. You can't strike up a conversation with a random, awesome looking NPC. When you're not on a mission there isn't a lot to do.

The missions are mostly excellently designed, each offering moderately sized Deus Ex-like microcosms. Most have multiple different physical, dialog, and tactical routes. This is where the meat of the fun from the gameplay comes from. The polish on the missions varies, ranging from reasonable to some of the most polished experiences in a video game to date. That said, the polish is indeed spotty, some missions leaving you disappointed and others enthralled.

Mechanically, most of the systems are engaging and interesting, except firearms can sometimes be very dull. The firearms experience being the weakest mechanics of the title, there are ways to make it more fun. However, the driving, melee, inventory, crafting, equipment, leveling, dialog, and other systems are all more engaging and add more to the experience.

Cyberpunk 2077 isn't my favorite game of 2020, it's not profound like Disco Elysium, it's not up to par with the original Deus Ex. That said, provided you have a great PC, it's one of the best games of 2020, and the most vivid video game realization of a cyberpunk world yet.

It's a pretty fun game with some severe technical difficulties. Namely, the raytracing implementation is broken, leading to unplayable framerates even on a high end rig with a 3080 and very low CPU & GPU utilization (meaning, it's just broken, rather than performing very slowly).

Just don't buy it if you want to play it with raytracing enabled.
