I'M RE-DOING THIS REVIEW BECUASE IT WAS ORIGINALLY MAINLY A COMPARISON BETWEEN IT AND MINECRAFT btw this review is ironic this game sucks lmao


Through my critical eye, Terraria might be one of the finest games to ever surface in the slowly thickening market of endless adventure games. Minecraft is maybe much more successful, but I feel like you're going to get more depth and satisfaction out of Terraria. Let me run you over with an overview of everything that this fantastical game has to offer.



STORY==

Hardly anything story-wise, obviously. This game just drops you right into the gameplay with an optional tutorial. However, NPCs offer bits and bits of lore for you to uncover.


CRAFTING SYSTEM==

I love the crafting in this game. Just about anything that you find in your adventures is a material, and thats why I hate throwing things out. Blinkroot, moonbloom, sunflowers- all of those things tend to fill up your inventory, but if they didn't, you would have a lot of trouble filling up on potions.

WEAPON SYSTEM==

I thought that the combat in this game would be shockingly underwhelming, as everything is just a couple clicks until its dead. I wasn't wrong, but I wasn't right (if that makes any sense) Swords and bows take up most of the pre-game, but the game later unveils a multitude of options- incredibly strong mage weapons, guns that rarely even consume ammo, and knives that never stop throwing. Man, if you were to go on a quest to get all the weapons here, you'd be in for at least a 1.5k hour ride. At least.

BUILDING==

Sure, building simple wood shelters are an option- but where's the fun in that? Google image yourself "houses in terraria" and you'll be shocked. The building aspect in this 2D adventure game is so strong and well done and underappreciated. I've built underground bunkers, mansions, underworld houses, and houses on flying islands. I never get bored of it. There's so much to do.

BOSSES==

Oh boy. The only connection between all 20 bosses is the fact they drop gold. They all present a very good feeling of accomplishment and challenge- did I mention that there's 20 of them?

MULTIPLAYER==

Multiplayer used to have very slow FPS with even harder stutters, but at at the time of review this problem was fixed. Playing with your friends offers two options- you can play against eachother or tackle the game in co-op. I love co-op, playing against is also a hell of a fun time. Suit yourself.

I hope this puts into perspective how this is almost definitely one of the best games on the platform. I stole this from some guy that guy sucks upvote mine we laughiged at his profile.
